Nobody has mentioned Wilburn Wildcats yet. When I was in school, the legend was the Wilburn girls all had mustaches.

rollTide_10

LAke view- Dragons- which are now apart of Barton
Elaine- panthers-which are now apart of the Marvell-Elaine school district
IF THESE TWO SCHOOLS WERE APART OF HELENA-WEST HELENA SCHOOL DISTRICT. COUGARS WOULD BE UNSTOPPABLE! ALL THE TALENT SPREADED THROUGH 5 HIGH SCHOOLS WITHIN 20 MILES. KIPP IS INCLUDED AS WELL.

What was Okolonas mascot lol(and they split the district between Amity, gurdon, delight and someone else)

Willisville and Oak Grove was the other two that went to Nevada Co
And Oak Grove was a combination of Rosston and Oak Grove.  I always thought it was a consolidated school since at their district tournaments it was listed as Rosston-Oak Grove.  Those schools struggled being in same district as McNeil, Waldo, Okolona, Amity and others.

I did not remember Caddo Gap's.  I kept thinking it was Indians, but knew that didn't sound right since that was Caddo Hills.  I could remember Norman being Cardinals, but Not CG.

Weird the consolidated school list I have shows Oak Grove and Rosston being separate schools.

I wonder how many of the old gyms are still in existance>?

I know Big Flat, Bruno, Pyatt, Leslie  (used by Marshall) are all still standing.

It would be cool if someone could compile a book of pictures of these places.

Isn't Leslie's gym a museum now?

I'm pretty sure Marshall still uses the Leslie Campus as their middle school.
They occasionally have pee-wee games at the old Leslie Gym.

They integrated in the 1960s and then consolidated in the mid 80s with the other 4 rural Nevada county schools.  What year is your list from?  I just remember them being Rosston-Oak Grove.  I don't know if it still is, but originally NHS was in Rosston.
