Since you are an acclaimed grammarian and linguist, you probably know that dictionaries will put the most commonly used definition first. Thus, making a "mark by pressure" on the surface of the brain = brain damage. So forgive my misinterpretation. At any rate, there was no brain damage inflicted on the Wildcats, so no harm, no foul.

I, for one, ranked them prior to knowing about the injury. Thier status is definately hurt IMO. Not too many high school backups lying around of his caliber........im still baffled about lamar.

What Lamar graduated last year has been replaced with almost the same or better caliber of player.  They were young at a lot of positions on defense and return almost the whole defensive side of the ball.  They should be better than they were last year.  I agree next year will be their time to shine.   Having two undefeated  state champions in your conference is tough.  I have respect for both those teams.   And you'll never hear me bad mouth any team.  Should be some great games in 3A this season
