Does anyone have any information on the all-star game and how the players will be pick, and when will it start?

SouthpawSensation

The game is usually played around the third Friday of June at Razorback Stadium.
Some time in January or February, the Arkansas Activities Association will announce the coaching staffs for the all-star game, and that is done by polling coaches. Once the coaching staffs are named, then they will get together and decide the players.
Those that have been selected as the Outstanding Back or the Outstanding Lineman in each conference get automatic invites, provided they are seniors. After those are taken care of, then coaches use those players on the all-state teams to complete the rosters, again provided if the players are seniors and a limit of two players from one school.

So do this mean that no JUNIORS can play in  it..Because I know a junior that got all-conference and all-state this year and will be elected outstanding back as the time goes by...

Does the AAA select the players or does the coaches select them?

Football Momma

I was told that all all-state seniors played in the all-star game..... obviously this is incorrect.  Can you tell me how many players are selected from each classification to play in the game?
Thanks!

I was kind of surprised none of the seniors at Junction made it. I thought TJ Thurlkill and Justin Thompson had shots.
