I haven't heard the price of crude oil in a while...but the last time i did hear about it, the price of oil had dropped 6 bucks a barrel. That same day the price went up 6 cents a gallon in Hector.

Lions84

Went back up to $2:73 here in Cleburne 5/15/06

retiredlion05

Went down to $2.70 here in Searcy late last week.  Only to go back up to $2.76, two days later.
Like the rest of y'all, I'm sick of this crap.

Infamous

It's been $2.75 in Newport for as long as I can remember now.

Ok, this is a real issue to me.  Thursday 5-18-06 locations I went through and the prices of gas (unleaded).

Booneville 2.799 (2.80)
Ozark 2.859 (2.86)
Clarkesville 2.649 (2.65)
Alma 2.629 (2.63)
Charleston 2.719 (2.72)
Ft Smith Rogers Ave 2.539 (2.54)
Ft Smith 71S 2.659 (2.66)
Greenwood 2.689 (2.69)

That there is way to many price ranges.  I know that the transportation cost will add some but 71S is where the storage units are.  So it cost $.10 less on Rogers and it has to be hauled 10 miles to get there than it does to haul a 1/4 mile?

I know it is the same way in around Fort Worth we average 10-15 cents cheaper here in Johnson county than in Tarrent.   It makes no logical sense at all.

DC*B

$2.51 at the walmart in the fort.

It's a miracle.  Gas prices drop in Booneville!

2.699 05/21/06

Lions84

5/21/06 Cleburne TX  Wal-Mart  $2:59  or $2:56 with a Wally World Card.  EZ marts are also $2:59  Fort Worth $2:68-2:88 on 2/20/06  Reason according to the morning news is we don't have the special gas here for high ozone admissions.

Tarkus

Just got back from a road trip to/from North Carolina. The lowest price I saw along the way was $2.51 in West Memphis.

Here is my cynical view on what the gas prices are doing now.  They're dropping again. Thanks to Gee Dub and his race to have the republican party beat the democrats and have all Americans praise him for dropping gas prices?  A race which is idealogically and practically a gesture to appease the public on behalf of a polical party?

Believe me, I'm not a bleeding heart liberal nor am I a hard core conservative.  I do have considerable concerns about who is actually controlling what we hard working, tax paying, property owning citizens are having to pay for driving our own vehicles to and from where we work for the jobs that keep this country alive.  Frankly, I don't give a dang about who is in office as long as he or she is looking out for we the people and not the political party.

As for the Europen countries on the list, anywhere from 70%-85% of their cost is in TAXES.  Socialist Ideologies need money to fund their projets and taxes within Europe are the highest in the world.

2.79 at Murphy in Clarkeville today.  2.88 at Loves in Ozark on 6-6-06.

Speculators!  Someone kill the SPECULATORS!!!  In one day last week, oil was trading around $64 and Hugo tells the other OPECer's, as they met at his Palace, to boycott the US.  Bam $4 raise in a matter of hours.  Then on June 1, it raises again over $3 because it was the first day of hurricane season.  On top of all this, the big oil companies are saying that they have to much gas because people aren't driving as much so stocks being sold are down like 10-12% per week.
