I was wondering something... I was talking to someone from Mountainburg the other day & we were wondering is this Mountainburg's first state title appearance in any team sport boys or girls in recent history?... Lets say since the late 1970's or 1980 range. I saw where in the late 1950's Mountainburg actually won state baseball when there was only one champ in the whole state.... If this is the first title appearance in recent history regardless of sport this is a pretty impressive feat for this team. 3 good years in a row actually.

Yes.  This is the first state title game for Mountainburg in any sport, boys or girls, since the state baseball championship team of 1957...57 years ago. Our senior girls have played in state the last 4 years. We made it to the quarters, semi's, quarters, finals.

Your shorting yourself a title there....Mountainburg went back-to-back in '57 and '58....even if it is 50+ years ago, still pretty impressive to get a title in the 1 class era...
