This is the Teng Weng pavilion.  It was right outside our hotel.

We saw this little girl playing on these bars outside the store.  Her dad is behind the wall trying to coax her off the bars.

I've had a lot of trouble with the cursor overlapping part of the [/img] portion of the insert image. You might check to see if that is correct.

Uncle Ivan

Maybe you exceeded the bandwidth limitations for your foto account.

I can right-click your images and view in a new tabs to see your images.

DB, I've gone back and fixed some of your pictures and will do the rest later. Not sure what's wrong with them.

The Little girl won out.

I really like the juxtaposition of the man and daughter in front of the Swatch ad. Nice contrast.

Have no idea what was wrong with them and why they wouldn't show up.

I did that too and in a few days they disappeared again. I am at a loss.

Hmm. I've never had that happen when I use imageshack but we'll see. It's been almost a week for that first pick so who knows.

I was in China this past August for the Olympics.... I loved Beijing.

DB

We only got to spend a day in Beijing.  Some of the others in our group arrived a day earlier than we did and got to go to the Forbidden City and Tienanmen Square.  One guy said that the best meal that has ever had in his life time was at the home of some elderly folks that obviously did not have much in the way of material possessions.  He said their pots and pans looked like they were from previous generations.

We were in Beijing for 7 days and 2 days in Xian to see the terracotta warriors... amazing!

For a vacation in China, you need a month, a huge bank roll and a great guide.  There is so much adventure there.  The next time that we go, we are going to spend two weeks.  We hope to be able to go as a group with people that have adopted from the same orphanage that our daughter came from and spend two or three days in her town and one day as a work day at the orphanage.  I want to spend a day at the Terracotta Wariors.  It must be like a huge museum.  And, if I am correct it is close to Shanghai.  The next time we go, I want to get out in the courtryside and see China at its roots.  I have a facebook friend in Beijing and hopefully I can make the connection there to get out in the country.  I'd also like to go to an underground church service.
