Might be Academics Plus, AKA the Maumelle Charter School. This is probably the smallest soccer playing school in the state.  After going win less last year, The Falcons have won 3 games this season already and were at least competitive in a 5-2 loss to Malvern today.

There are plenty of other small schools that have also improved alot more then academic plus .. and are beating larger schools

Any school Academics Plus beats is a larger school. Not saying they are good. Just not nearly as bad as they were a year ago! ;) They have a couple of really nice players, but they could save money on sod by only sodding the middle of the field. They don't really use the sidelines. Who are the teams that you think have improved more?

JFSM

Jacksonville Lighthouse is an improve team for sure. They are a very small school and are taken out 5a schools by blowouts and are even better then jacksonville High school a 6a school. The program has only been establish for 3 years and are making  significant progress.

Has Lighthouse really improved though? They came in their first year with great soccer players.

What does the size matter if the teams aren't that good? There are a lot of 5A and 6A schools that are not that good. If they were competing and beating Siloam Springs, Bentonville, Valley View, and the better teams in 4A etc it'd be way more impressive but they aren't.

yeah i know what you mean but that wasn't what he was meaning of how good a school is. He is saying how small schools have no chance against bigger schools. If that makes sense

it must of been just luck that they have so many players with experience in such a tiny school. This year they have almost a conplete team full of players who know how to play.

Improvement is the point I'm making with Academics Plus. You can't imagine how bad that team was last year. A lot of players who had never played before. I am not saying that they are any kind of powerhouse. They are certainly not a threat to their neighbors at CAC. However, they are much improved.

Van Buren has also improved from recent memory. Wins over Valley View, Cabot, Conway, and competitive losses to Siloam Springs and Jonesboro.  Three wins over 7A opponents for the first time in long time. Not amazing, but I can remember Van Buren giving up nearly 100 goals in a conference season.
