How about this Zach Jewel kid from Mena? Rarely does anyone from Mena run fast, but the dude ran a sub 11 100, sub 22 200, won the long jump by 2 feet and finished 3rd in the triple. He scored 36 of his team's 42 points which was good enough for 5th in state. He would have finished 6th by himself.  I know we have freak athletes like that at every level from time to time, they just aren't ever from my hometown!

I got to watch him at multiple meets.  Wonderful athlete and fun to watch.  Congrats to him on his success.
