1. Little Rock Christian - Not sure why I feel the need to put them above PA, because my gut says not to. Results say that they are 1A and 1B for me.

2. Pulaski Academy - Nothing to be gained in rankings this week. Did what they needed to.

3. Little Rock McClellan - Just beating opponents like they should.

4. Harrison - I actually thought they'd beat Morrilton by more but beating a McNabb team on the road is always tough no matter the injury situation

5. Texarkana - Very tempted to put them above Harrison but the main reason I only have them this high is because I don't know what to think of their opponents

6. Blytheville - They jump Nettleton for me. I think Wynne is stronger than Batesville and the Chickasaws beat them with ease.

7. Nettleton - Good win over a historically good opponent who is down.

8. Little Rock Parkview - I thought they might beat Beebe by more but Beebe is always good for a surprise and they had weird conditions for their game.

9. White Hall - That win over Maumelle completely snuck up on me. Biggest surprise of the weekend for me other than maybe Blytheville

10. Camden Fairview - Had a tough time with this spot but they beat a Lakeside team that was starting to get attention and they have a really good player.

Just missed for me: Valley View, Alma

I appreciate your confidence in the Hornets.  As Morrilton (and likely LRC) can attest, it's tough losing your QB1.  It's also tough losing your starting RB and trying to grind out a game in a monsoon.  We'll be fine, and should still end up competing for a playoff spot once everyone is back and healthy.  That loss Friday hurt though.  The problem is that playing in the Central, we don't have the luxury of losing guys on either side of the ball for long stretches and still being able to get a win, especially with the guys we lost.

Maumelle has a good football team and is very talented at the skill positions.  Zion Slade can fly and is very difficult to bring down in the open field, Sanders is a big kid who runs the ball hard and makes great catches down the field, the QB who is possibly out this week will hurt them but when he is healthy, he can let fly and the defense is very fast and very physical.  With all of that being said, I watched the game the other night @ Maumelle, give WH some credit because they took advantage of every opportunity that came their way.  They also ran the ball well while not fumbling it in the "monsoon."  Toward the end they got a little sloppy but overall both teams had to play in the awful conditions, one was just better than the other.  You had one team that wanted to spread it out and run by you, then the other team that wanted to run the ball and control the game and in those conditions its tough for everyone.  WH earned that tough win but at the same time Maumelle will be fine and bounce back.

^ Oh they deserve a ton of credit - I said as much in the score thread after the game went final.  They did a better job of grinding it out than we did given the conditions.

Just to let razorbackufo and Rocket23 know, I don't count the polls towards the rankings after Wednesday, but enjoyed seeing them nonetheless.

WTD

Parkview is gonna be hard to beat! They have grown men on both sides of the ball and with their ability to run the football and grind it out I can see them giving PA and LRCA all they want.
