I'm really surprised there is a big HS game on Sept 5

Razorback Red

I saw where JC and Smackover play on Sat, Sept 5.  I am surprised the AAA allowed a game on the opening day of the Hogs season, but I guess there's no rule against it if both schools want to play.

I apologize if there is already a thread on this game, but it should be a good one.  I don't follow either team, but I would think there is more at stake for Smackover being the larger classification and gaining momentum to make a run for a state title.

Realistically, if JC wins this one, they will run the table again I would think.

Sorry mods, there is another thread that was started regarding this game.  Can you combine them?

That sounds unusual playing two games in one week.
Will they both have an open date in week two then?

Hector done it in 2013, Episcopal did it in 2014, and smackover is doing it this year

Episcopal played 2 games in 3 days last year!
On Tuesday 9\2, the Wildcats beat DeWitt 34-13 at UAPB.
On Friday 9\5, they won at Conway Christian. 41-0.
Charleston played on Saturday during the regular season once. The Tigers traveled to Lafayette County on October 4,2003, and won 31-20. The Hogs had an open date that week.

Arkansas is playing UTEP... maybe 5% of non conference games are worth watching in college anyway. Those two teams aren't missing anything playing on a Saturday.

According to the AAA website. Smackover is playing Parkers Chapel on 10-19-15(Monday.) Which puts them at 11 games in regular season. Although it could be a JV game.
