Since most people believe JC has already won the 2A crown and could compete in the 3A, 4A, 5A, and 6A.  And since they can't play themselves.  How about Chuck Norris VS Junction City.  Your thoughts.

Dragon_Slayer

My thought is that this thread is as moronic as the other twenty threads about JC. It's funny to me that so many on here seem to resent JC, yet they curiously can't keep from talking about them.  :-\

FD4

No, it's great, it's a great thread.  It's like the time when my nephew and I were playing basketball with a play station.  We both took five Michael Jordan's against each other.  It was great.  Here is how it would play out.  Chuck would win and defer, giving JC the ball on a pooch kick.  Junction would score because the tackle made at the Norris 1 yard line was so dim you could not see it and the ref with the quad cane could not keep up with the play.  JC 6 CN 0.  On the kickoff, Chuck would return the kick to the JC 1 inch line where the same thing happend again.  This time after having successfully run a quarterback sneak behind the blocking of Chuck and Chuck, three times crossing the goal line but being denied the right to score.  JC wins, and the ref's get a handsome Xmas bonus.  JC goes on to get beat in the finals by non other than a resurrected Bruce Lee.

So you get my point.  There's a lot of football to be played before someone gets to take home the trophy.  The best team doesn't always win.  Sometimes it's the team that wants it the most.

Now, now. ::)

Coach Chuck would have had enough sense to have QB Chuck spike the ball.

Then one of three things could have happened:
1)  PK Chuck could have attempted a field goal or
2)  QB Chuck could have thrown a pass to WR Chuck or
3)  RB Chuck could have run anywhere but up the gut.

4.4-40

Maybe if the Dragons had any competition, we wouldnt have to bring Chuck into this.

Good news for JC, Chuck called, he's booked til Feb 2009. Can't make it to LR on Dec. 13.

4.4-40

Phewwww that was a close one.  It would have been the immovable object against the unstopable force.

Chuch is what Chuck's closest friends call him.

When I talked to him a short time ago, he had not even heard of this supposed match-up with the Dragons.  He was intrigued and wants to know if it is suppose to be in football or in "full contact" fighting.  If in football, he wanted to know if he got to fill out his team with his friends like Tony Romo.  If it is full contact, he wanted to know if it was one on one or exactly how it would work.  Does he get any breaks between bouts?  And who is paying the $3 million in either case?

Dragon I

I'm starting to think that Chuck is actually #54 for the Dragons.  Although the dierkies think he is in no way D-1 material, he was in the back field EVERY PLAY last week, and dominates the line of scrimmage.  I can only think of ONE person that could do that.  It has to be chuck behind that #54!

Chuck Norris is suing Myspace for taking the name of what he calls everything around Junction City.

When the Dragons go to sleep every night, they check their closet for Chuck Norris.

Remember Junction City? They decided to quit after watching a Walker, Texas Ranger marathon on TV.

Some people like to eat frogs' legs. Chuck Norris likes to eat Dragon legs. Hence, snakes.

Chuck Norris invented black. In fact, he invented the entire spectrum of visible light. Except pink. Junction City invented pink.

Some people wear Dragons pajamas. The Dragons wear Chuck Norris pajamas.

Don't do anything stupid. I'm wanting to see JC in WMS!!

Maybe #54 will get to do that after the '08 season.

Hate to break it to you, but black isn't a color.  Yeah I know people call it a color, but it isn't.  Black is the absence of color while white is the presence of all colors.  All colors come from light or more properly light waves.  The wavelength of the light wave determines the color you perceive. ROYGBIV is the common acronym for the light spectrum.

JSK, you are correct. It is the absence of light, not absence of color. Now back to Chuck vs. JC........

Chuck Norris once roundhouse kicked the Dragons so hard that his foot broke the speed of light, went back in time, and killed Amelia Earhart while she was flying over the Pacific Ocean.

Police labeled the Dragons attacking Chuck Norris as a Code 45-11.... a suicide.

The Dragons once watched an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger. They then cried themselves to sleep.

The Dragons want to grow up to be just like Chuck Norris. But usually they grow up just to be beaten by Chuck Norris.

footballfan

i just don't get this man love thing with Chuck. .....

Wilson

Amelia was not killed over the south pacific......she died in a Japanese prison when they took her into custody in the Marshall Islands during her round the world flight.   They knew she was in fact gathering info for the United States Govt and used an emergency landing in the Marshall Islands as a cover to get more info.......Its FDR's fault.......

Now conspiracy theorists discuss amongst yourselves ;D

even if that didnt happen I dont figure she died until she crashed....so when she died she was in fact....no longer in flight. ;)

No manlove for Chuck FF......just the utmost respect for a man that powers the rotation of our earth by the energy he generates everyday just riding a stationary bike!......lol

outlaw39

If Chuck Norris were a calendar, every month would be named Chucktober, and every day he'd beat Junction City.

On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying Dragon back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the Dragon sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. This was just to prove that the good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.

"Brokeback Mountain" is not just a movie. It's also what Chuck Norris calls the pile of beaten Dragons in his front yard.

The Dragons once beat Chuck Norris. They were then awakened from his dream by a roundhouse kick to the face.

the absence of light is darkness.  Black is the absence of color thus you can see this type that appears to be black.  If there was no light, you could not see to differeniate between any color, all colors (white) and black.

Ok, light waves (light) are what determines colors, and black is the absence of color. That has been said. The absence of light is the cause of the absence of color. Therefore, the absence of light would also be black.

MAN, this is DEEP. If it is dark and it can't be seen then it does not look blue, it looks black. Yes, you are right. It still is blue, it just can not be seen. How ever does the blue show on the shirt, because of the light it is in or is it because of the dye. How did you know that I had a blue shirt any way?

You do know I am just having fun with this?

But everything I have said is "true" at least for most purposes.  Light is known as having dual characteristics.  In some ways it acts like a wave and in others it acts as a particle.  It takes Quantum Mechanics to truly get a grasp on it so it does get complex.

But on a basic level what the human eye perceives as "color" is the light waves reflecting off an object.  And the color "black" is considered to be the absence of color.   So when you see an object in full daylight (lots of light) and it appears to your eye to be "black", that means the light waves reflecting off that object more or less "cancel" each other and it appears to have no color.

see http://micro.magnet.fsu.edu/primer/java/primarycolors/colorseparation/index.html] or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color or even better read Isaac Asimov's book Asimov on Physics

As for the second question, the answer is no.  The tree falling produces sound waves but only the ear can translate sound waves into sound.  So without an ear to hear, there is no sound just sound waves.

jsk

I am only having fun with this too. ;D

Dragon I

Strong played hard tonight.  JC came out flat and stayed that way.  They didn't help themselves when the fumbled on the 1 when they had first and goal.  The next series they had a wide open TD pass that was dropped with no Strong defender within 10 yards of the JC reciever.  They let Strong hang around and the Bulldogs took full advantage of the JC miscues.  The JC players all agreed after the game that if they play Carlisle like they did Strong they will be playing basketball in about 7 or 8 days.  In 2003 JC had a couple of very close games in the playoffs because of thier lack of focus and stupid turnovers and penalties.  Usually, the next week, they put together a solid week of practice and gave the team they were playing thier full attention and the games weren't even close.  Hopefully this team can put it together like they did five years ago. ;)

Bear09

Look color is the way light is reflected off an object. If an object is blue it is because it absorbs all other colors but blue. Truth be known there are actually only 3 colors blue red and yellow everything else is just a mixture. You have black when an object absorbs all colors and white when an object reflects all colors. Hence you must have light to have colors.

hothands

Objects appear to have color simply due to the reflection of light waves. An object that appears blue absorbs all waves except blue waves. Therefore if it is dark the object does not have any light waves to reflect so the color cannot be seen. For you deer hunters, this is why when you begin to be able to see in the morning things appear black and white and the color is hard to make out due to low light. All color really is is receptor cells in the eye reacting to the wavelenghts. For more insight take the blue pill and see just how deep the rabbit hole goes haha.

already asked and answered.  You didn't read the posts above before posting?  Sound does not exist unless there is an ear to hear.

Oh and most of the people posting about J.C. competing against bigger schools are not even from J.C.

Sound is energy, a tree falling creates energy.  If a tree falls in the woods and noone is around to hear it, it DOES still make a sound. :)

Yeah I am seeing what your saying Tim......but aren't "soundwaves" still made?    I know in the general definition of sound your right......but to be more of a scientist.....wouldn't they say that sound waves are created?

Also to go back to the Strong game......would a fast Dragon be not as fast on a muddy field?    Would a cut back runner not be able to cut as well on a muddy field?    Would a athletic team that is not so disciplined (i.e. Strong) be able to not worry about over persuing and missing a cut back if the field was a muddy mess?     All logical questions that could explain a closer score.    Shake up the 8 ball and give me an answer to those question oracle if you are out there.....lol

this saying is equal to that how do you catch a bird.. put salt on the tail... If a tree fell how did you know it fell...

Wilson

I tried putting salt on a birds tail before BB52.....it just didnt work......little boogers wouldnt sit still and let me walk up on them ;)

Now snails is a different matter!    Many a snail met an untimely demise due to my mothers salt shaker back when I was a destructive 7 year old ;D

I didn't necessarily say that they were from JC.... Just that they were JC fanatics.
