Around 86 athletes competing...Any great picks out there who could win it?

PoleVault16

both rogers heritage boys: Alex Miles, Daniel spickes have a great chance at winning it! both great jumpers and relatively fast! both are going to score a lot of points in pole vault and Daniel is a 22'8" long jumper so he should definitely be a favorite in many events. Also Houston cotton of Vilonia is an outstanding athlete! should be a good show!

Agreed on Alex Miles. He has to be the favorite. He scored in five different field events at state and probably could have scored in more.

HeadBussa08

trevor rucker of prescott should do very well in all events

AT

After 5 events in day one, top 10 are

Ethan Bly - Heber Springs - 3579
Alex Miles - Heritage - 3522
Sain Mathew - Har-Ber - 3506
Clint Ligon - Heber Springs - 3461
Forrest Johnson - Heritage - 3361
Dan Spickes - Heritage - 3321
Damion Blossom - Siloam Springs - 3308
Tre Boyd - Fayetteville - 3280
Chase Lamers - Rogers - 3240
Joshua Liddell - PB Dollarway - 3170

Just looking at the 5 events left for today, Alex Miles is great at the Pole vault and discus throw and good at the triple jump. I would say he's the favorite still after day 1.

You can make up a lot of points in PV and from the top ten Miles and Spickes should do just that.

I looked him up 14'6" range in meets.  I was just looking at the top ten from day 1.  He's got some work to do today.

I think with the amount of athletes they have at this event, they've had to do these events in a very peculiar manner, but it's probably the best way to do it.

They have all the athletes separated into different flights and those flights are the same for each event. Different flights do the events in different order.

It looks like they have 1 flight of the 110H left to run.

Spickes cleared 16 feet and Miles cleared 15 feet. Miles is well on a way to a win.
