It's not often one finds a quad or tri meet anymore. It seems that if schools are going to bother hosting meets, they want as many teams as possible in order to maximize the entry fees. Many teams have to use the entry fees (and gate) form their meets to fund the remainder of their season.

What is a quad meet? (in track)
