I think you took my post completely wrong there PB. My post was in reference to when there was a controversy with the 1964 National Championship. Both Arkansas and Alabama finished the regular season 10-0. The UPI awarded Alabama the National Championship trophy and said Arkansas was 2nd- BEFORE their bowl games were played. The Writers Poll awarded it to Arkansas.
Arkansas won their bowl game over Nebraska, and finished 11-0. Alabama lost to Texas in theirs and finished 10-1.
I wasn't slighting Smackover's 3 state championships at all, as some on here seem to be. I was just referencing that some want to add controversy to the Bucks first 2. Sorry for the way it sounded. I didn't make my point very well.

I like Dardanelle as the favorite in 4A.  I saw them completely shut down Nashville at Nashville and know that they led most of the game against eventual champion Warren.  QB was unreal I agree, but their defense would have had them in all those games even without him.  They will be hard to beat this year and 4A is not going to be as strong as it was last year.

Really??  Last year lizards proved a lot to a lot of people. We had some big players on BOTH sides of the ball and took every one of them to accomplish what they did....as a TEAM.
