Game won on free throws.

The depth in the arena is always an issue , not used to shooting with no wall behind the glass. That was an issue at the beginning , but I felt Charleston was winded in the second.

Brian G

I had a post from a few years ago about the shooting in this arena.  It had some game data and showed how bad the 3 point shooting was in championship games at Hot Springs.

I wish I could find it.

This year it seems to better and I was curious if the set up was the same as prior years from a background perspective.

Great game and season ECS! Well deserved state championship! Go Cats

chuckBB

I am absolutely proud my Charleston boys. ECS is good as Charleston and it was a great game. No need to complain about refs. They were very close game and it could turned out either way. Good job, ECS. See you next year.

Thanks chuck! We will definitely see you next year, we run the 3A

True , very good chance of these two hooking up again in next years

WPWells

Charleston returns Ward, Smith, King, Fenner, and Newhart who all got action today

UofA95

How big could losing Ty to UofA (mid semester) be for Charleston come BB time next year?

WPWells

It will hurt, but Smith is a more developed post. He just say on the bench today with foul trouble so he didn't get to show that

UofA95

I would love to see how much game time Smith had... He stepped on the court and was called for a foul almost every possession. Seems like max of 7 mins of game-time for smith today

WildcatGrandpa13

If Smith played his normal minutes, this could be an entirely different game...

Two best teams , no doubt about that
And also the second best team ECS played all year. Yes, 7A champs NLR was the best.

centralarfan

Congrats, ECS Wildcats. Well played game today. Congrats to the MVP, Mahlon Martin.

Well he had 18 points and 15 rebounds today so i would say it will hurt bad.

akbballer

We have some secret weapons in coming year who sat on the bench. We shall see. Next year will be good year for Charleston also.

Where did they sit on the bench, Greenwood?

No dude, ECS!
We just stole Freeman and the Gooseberry twins!
If you're gonna spread rumors, at least get it right!

How did you know. It was suppose to be secret.  I heard that Charleston offered pretty good deal for them to transfer next year.

You are pretty close Mr. Wards son Mike ward is who he is talking about and he his from Greenwood.

akbballer

He was transferred in when he was 4th grade.  He was never called Mike but Michael Ward, Matthew Ward's younger brother, who is 6'4" and can play.

He will contribute much next year.
