Warren Receives New Soccer Field Grant

I know this won't be of much interest to most of you, but I thought it was a good example statewide of how much soccer is expanding.  Many schools of course currently play on their football field, which is ok, but I'm glad to see stories like this.

I'm not sure one hundred percent sure on the details, but I assume this grant will give the Warren High School Soccer Club and new soccer specific home field.  Warren has really been a leader in our classification the past few years in helping to grow soccer in the southern part of the state.  I'm glad to see rewards like this coming for the staff's, administration's, and kid's hard work.  In the end, stories like this are a success for all of us who enjoy soccer statewide.

Glad that field will be more than just an empty lot. I have some great memories of playing PEE WEE ball on Saturdays there and practicing football there while in JR high.
