Gosnell head football job is open. Moody resigned to take an asst. job at Batesville Southside.

This is a good job to have if you want to win more games than you will lose fairly easily because of the conference you play in.

Missco

True...most years Gosnell also beats Osceola and Rivercrest. It is a weak conference but is a good job. They have good facilities and community support. The right person could easily build something

GHS_08

Why would he resign for an assistant job when he has had so much success here?

There seems to be some more rocks that haven't been kicked over if that's the case...

Missco

Got married to a woman that's an administrator over that way.

I figure it all depends on who wants the job. Why would you move up an asst. If you have good applicant's. Gosnell would have to atleast hire another asst. then. They don't have enough any way.

Stayed about a month as a principal at Pangburn after leaving Carlisle, I think...or maybe after Lonoke.  He's a good football coach, does move around more than most.

pretty sure he was drew central's first coach.

jsky14

He will do a great job. At England, he turned the program around before he left. Good hire.

GHS_08

Looks like Gosnell will be going back to the Double Wing. Coach Barbaree says they will run Double Slot, Double Wing, and some spread formations. He wants to control the game on the ground. That works fine until you get to the playoffs. You better be able to throw it some.

BigLion10

GHS we were fine when we ran it at England we threw quiet a bit too and scored a bunch just couldn't stop any body lol

Heck of a motivator, and the kids will run through a brick wall for him.  They will lift weight and be stronger than they have ever been in their life.  When he learns to Coach with his head and not make take bad chances, he will be one of the best Coaches in the State.  Kids really respect him and he does not take any crap.

Lionbro20

He was and is a great motivator to me, if the kids buy in then Gosnell will be fine, will weed out any trouble makers, be prepared for some hard nosed football, I'll prolly come to a game or two to visit with them,

Brandon is a great coach! He'll do well there. Carlisle ran the double wing out of the pistol at times when they were loaded with talent his one year as head coach and gave JC all they wanted in the semifinals in the rain.

Lionbro20

If ricks didn't hurt his knee they would of won, he was running free that night,

birddawg1986

Guess he can beat up Trumann now ;D

Well....if they would've went single back with Ricks, and split everyone else out, it would've forced JC to cover man to man. Carlisle would've run away with it. JC had zero answer for Ricks that night
