Yep, they got a deal on it, looks like it will take around 10,000 of these squares to put it in.

It actually would take closer to 100,000 of those squares to cover a football....Good guess though

Actually around 68,000 depending on how much is in turf past the end zones.

I don't think we need the practice.

It won't be easy but it's possible.

For what. Won both wing T games last year. Held FL to 100 yards on the ground last year and 13 points.

Got my Hootens magazine today. Excellent article about the history of Scrapper football and the community of Nashville, "Arkansas' Football Town."

Slightly behind on their updates, they were cutting the concrete on the edge of the track and cleaning up around the edges with some final dirt work/leveling...

In the past Hootens' covers have included Arkansas and other colleges based on the area of the state. Nashville is the first high school to be featured on the cover with the SW part of the state getting the special edition.

Yay !!!!! They got their money's worth out of those old ones. That place will be completely fabulous when they finish it.

To me, it seems like Warren and Nashville are in an arms race to prove who is the king of 4A. I have to concede that Nashville is currently winning.

AirWarren

It's certainly a great program to be in an arms race with.

Superjack45

I just watched the 4A State Championship game again between Nash&Grove I must say Nash have some pretty good kids playing for them,I myself would like to see Warren and Nville go at again this year. Seems to give the fans what they came to see and that's a very competitive game between 2 pretty good Atheletic programs. Right now there is not many schools in 4A that can compete with either of the 2. I just wonder if the 2 are on opposite sides of the brackets this year would love to see the 2 play in the Rock one more time. I know the Robisons and Ridges,Christians,Groves and maybe even Ricebirds will have something to say about that but it would be another Epic battle I believe. IJS🤔🤔🤔🤔

An update from Southwest Arkansas Radio's Facebook page...

"Work continues on the artificial turf installation project at Nashville's Scrapper Stadium.  Superintendent Doug Graham says crews are finishing the dirt work and the turf material is expected to arrive next week.  The field will include a 40 foot by 40 foot Scrapper Star in the center with fifteen foot orange letters with white trim in black end zones.  Construction is ongoing on a new band stand that is being built in partnership with the Scrapper Band Boosters.  Work on new visitor bleachers will begin within the next week."

Jack1990

Sounds sharp WPS! I like the black end zones.
