The Future

"Ghost of Days Gone By" by Alter Bridge
"Night Moves" by Bob Seger
"Hide Your Heart" by KISS
"Walk" by the Foo Fighters
"Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel. The cover by Bobaflex is excellent as well
"Lay My Burdens" by Disciple
"Carefree Highway" by Gordon Lightfoot
"Blinded by the Light" by Manfred Man

Just a handful of songs from my ipod. If you have the chance, youtube any or all these songs. They're great. If you wish, I'll happily talk and debate different songs and genres (except rap and hip hop)

DogsWin7

Love Love Love Bob Segar!   I have all of those songs...plus hundreds more on my phone when I run.    I listened to Let's Groove this morning....it's Old but I like it! :)

The Future

For the most part, the oldies are the best haha.
Pull out some KC and the Sunshine Band, Kool and the Gang, or just some good ol' Rolling Stones.

AirWarren

Got a couple new favorites.

Brad Paisley "Perfect Storm" (think about the wife)
Like Bryan "roller coaster"
The Cadillac Three "The South"
Eli Young Band "dust"

All about that Bass - Meghan Trainor

Followed closely behind "Fancy", right? Ha

The Future

Has anyone else heard of the band Apologetix? They are a christian band that do only parodys. And they are really good.

Heres a few of their best ones:
"Learn Some Deuteronomy" parody of "Pour Some Sugar on Me"
"Fishin on a Pier" parody of "Living on a Prayer"
"Man on a Cross" parody of "Man in a box"
"Welcome to the Judges" parody of "Welcome to the Jungle"
"Bethlehemian Rhapsody" parody of "Bohemian Rhapsody"
"Every Crown has its Thorns" parody of "Every Rose has its Thorns
"Enter Samson" parody of "Enter Sandman"
"The Real Sin Savior" parody of "The Real Slim Shady"

They have a lot more. Check em out!

How dare you! Queen was one of the greatest rock bands ever, third only to Pink Floyd & Led Zepplin! Granted, not so much anymore with that tool Lambert fronting.

Also I think Wayne's World had more to do with the popularity of Bohemian Rhapsody than anything else.  BTW, have you seen the Zero Wing Rhapsody? Outstanding.

DogsWin7

Nothing Else Matters.....Metallica

I found out that my son apparently broke out in song in the cafeteria at school to "play that funky music white boy".....his friends accompanied him as back up....lol!   Ahhh the adventures of growing little boys! :)

Where Everybody Knows Your Name - Gary Portnay

I read in In Touch Magazaine a statement that caught my attention.   "No matter how old we are, music is essential to our celebration of Christmas."   As a Christian, I believe that.  Maybe it's the time of year or just the fact that I love certain music but I thought....what's one of my favorites?   It would be O Holy Night.    The words of most Christmas Carols I love.   That is a big part of my Christmas traditions at my house.   My parents have always bought me a New CD or record(years ago) for Christmas.  I hold them all very close to my heart and play them almost daily....my son, now knows that if we decorate our tree...my has to have her Christmas Music.  Just thought I would share...and ask What is your favorite Christmas song??
