MC did just beat the reigning conference champs who boasted they've won 18 straight conference games. I think they're doing a pretty good job week-to-week of building the program name.  As far as taking anyone by storm, that always comes with hard work and not mouthing.  Doesn't hurt to tell the MC folks to keep focused on hard work and step away from the trash talk or boasting or anything like that. Sounds like someone is trying to stir the pot with bringing up "taking the 2A by storm if they had a new coach" talk. Stir stir stir. That's what the forum is for I guess.

Just like saying Arkansas would be better with a new coach....it all depends on the players.

MC is not taking anyone by storm but the new coach has them playing hard and as a team. Efird lost his job due to not controlling his team or the program. I have nothing but faith in the current coaches and the direction we are headed. We may still have rough years but I know it will not be for lack of trying or direction.

Should be a good game. Hart will have his boys ready to roll. MC did beat England but England failed on 5 conversions, had 4 turnovers and lost by 1. I think poyen gets the W by 4.

Not stirring the pot. Most of the pot stirring came from your very own patrons who had a nefarious agenda. We all sat in front of our computers reading all those posts attacking the former coach and you shouldn't get off so easy as to crawl in your hidey hole when you get egg on your face. If building the program name is losing games, I guess you've succeeded. If mouthing could make you take it by storm, it would have been a hurricane. I guess we all know by now that surely doesn't work. Although MC people are not in the position to either trash talk OR boast, I don't think their silence is the result of taking high moral ground. You beat a team who has to look up to see down by a whopping one point. Putting lipstick on a pig and acting all self-righteous doesn't fool anybody.

Are you crazy we had more penalties called on us than y'all did, plus we missed a crap ton of 2 point conversions. Y'all had about 8 fans on our side running their mouths the whole game in the stands finally got escorted out in the 4th and I was hearing people after the game laughing at the kid who got hurt bad saying he got his butt knocked off. One old man even said they should've killed the kid really MC fans. And when someone went and confronted the man he jumped in his car and drove away quickly

As far as the pass defense, it has made major improvements. In fact, they almost shut England out with it minus one play they scored on when the MC secondary played too tight. I do believe the last offensive play by England was a pass that was intercepted by....wait for it....the secondary defense. So, keep talking that trash. It fuels them. Yes, their first game they looked like trash on pass defense. It was embarrassing. Are they the best yet?  they're making great strides. Everyone expected England to roll over MC. It didn't happen.  As far as the Magnet sportsmanship, we are good people with class. Throw that trash somewhere else. This isn't the old magnet team that would lay down and take a beating. This is a new one that has hunger. Poyen and Magnet have always played tough against each other. Each team will gives it their all. I expect the same this Friday night at the "Backyard Brawl".

My prediction was accurate last week so Ima say it's gonna be another close game. Poyen has always been ready for Magnet.  Magnet is excited to play Poyen. It's gonna be another great game. Just hope Poyen has someone that can block for their QB or he's in trouble.

I've never seen anyone from MC act classless at a game and my team has played them for several years.  Seem like good folks to me.... and we've had some really tight games where tempers could have flared... but they never did.

No it's the full next game. Haralson got ejected against HG in playoffs last year and had to sit out against Marshall 1st game this year
