Caught the Wolves and Rams this past week, Excellent game that could've gone either way. Great crowd, estimated to be close to 10,000. Not real familiar with either program but I looked at the Wolves schedule and they are playing smaller schools in the non-conference portion of their schedule. Does this not hurt them when tough conference games come around? With the exception of Lakeside 2 out of their first 3 games appear to be cupcakes this year. Seems like teams would want to schedule quality opponents to prepare them for the conference slate. Anyway, just curious.

Non conference games will have zero bearing on the conference record and if a team makes the playoffs or not.

You're missing the point, Non-conference games prepare a team to face conference opponents. Everybody knows they have no bearing on a team qualifying for the playoffs. And LH playing a sub-par non-conference slate does not prepare them for life in the 6A West.
