Look at our record over the past 7 years. Hasn't been much to cheer for. That's all about to change though.

:)  I sure hope so.  We need everyone to come out and support The Billies.  The team will play better with fans in the stands.  😊

It was sad what happened after Pascal left the program really declined. Hopefully this coach can turn things around and bring back some respect to a once decent program

I wouldn't say that wouldn't be a good reason because we have had some great teams in the past 7 years I am going to be a billie fan win or lose but a lot of people don't know about this website or don't like to post on blogs we have several that post on here I am excited about the new coach coming in but now I am enjoying the basketball teams

Great teams in the last in 7 years? 31-73-1. No winning seasons in the last six. Cmon man

I’m not doubting his ability, I’m doubting that if he doesn’t play the “right” players they will run him off too. I mean they did it after winning a championship.

Took a team that was averaging like 5 points a game to his qb throwing 63
Tds and leading Texas 3a in passing and I’m sure close to leading in scoring. Went 4 rounds deep in playoffs. Biggest two year turnaround ive ever
Seen in Texas football.

BB had 5 all Americans and I think we can all agree he lacked in coaching abilities. Does robbie deserve some credit? Probably but not necessarily, if the kid didn’t have talent it wouldn’t have happened.

His sophomore year the team only scored 67 points and went 0-10.  So I guess coaching helped him some. 😎  The new offense changed the team completely and that was what Robbie brought to them.  He will bring it to Monticello this spring.

We will see. I just think it’s pee poor to give all the credit to the coach on an award that a player earned. If it was all the coaches doing then basically you’re saying you could put anyone at that position and he could win them an award. Giving a kids sophomore stats and comparing it to his senior year is ludicrous as well.

I’m not saying that it was all the coaches doing but he wouldn’t have done that without the offense the coach put in.   The rest of the team helped also.  Even some players that hadn’t played before.  The kids bought into the program and worked hard.  😎

Monticello's QB will be a senior this season. So in November we can compare his stats from this coming season to last years and see how much improvement he shows just from a coaching change....I'll go ahead and warn you that the improvement is going to be substantial.  A coach has to know how to develop talent and with poor coaching that never happens.  Coach Coplin is going to do a terrific job at Monticello and that will be on full display 7 months from now.
