Ozark (4) @ Booneville
It has been nearly a decade since this regular-season matchup had this much significance (I'm not counting Turkey Day 2012). The Bearcats are in a very sticky situation for the second-straight season, with three good teams waiting in Weeks 6-8. The Hillbillies, meanwhile, are trying to build their momentum from last week's shutout to cement their lately-elusive playoff chances, which can be helpful with their own tough run to close the season. Expect a close one between these two, but the key will lie in how Booneville's offense will fare against Ozark's veteran defense.

Dardanelle (6) @ Pottsville
Well, I guess the Sand Lizards won't have to worry about their scoring: they lead the conference averaging over 35 PPG. The defense, however, is on a roller-coaster: Allowing all of one TD in their two wins, yet surrendering 77 points in their two losses. If they want to remain in contention for a conference title, Dardy will need an answer against a high-flying Apache side that has title aspirations of its own.

West Fork @ Waldron (35)
The Bulldogs are now fully aware of the next steps they need to take on their road to success: endure all four quarters, and play from behind. They dueled Ozark to a scoreless first half (and, in more than a few instances, looked like the better team in that span), but the moment a botched punt fake was countered with a TD, cracks started to show. With the way conference play has started, though, it's still too early to declare Waldron out of the playoff race. However, this week has an added sense of urgency as a Tiger side with renewed playoff aspirations of their own come prowling.

Dover (35) @ Subiaco
Give the Pirates credit: they silenced a boatload of doubters in snapping Dardy's 15-game conference winning streak. It won't be too hard extending their own streak to 7 this week. Running the table for their third-ever conference title, however, isn't as clear-cut.
