FL isn't terrible on offense but the D has been majorly outmatched every week.  Will Nashville play their 3rd string?

Treason756

If they play their 3rd string I'll go back to high school and play against FL, it hasn't been that long since I graduated anyways

It surprised me that Robinson wasn't able to just blow out FL. Did FL control the clock or was it actually a competitive game?

Control the clock and completed a few big passes.  P Rob was much better on D in 2nd half.  Not a very competitive game lol.  Their offense is better than their D.  Might be an interesting match up with the Scraps.

I got the same impression about them when I saw them week 1.

When doing research for this game I noticed that Nashville hasn't played at FL very much. Nashville went 4 or 5 years in 2000-2005 without having to travel to FL. In fact when looking at old FL schedules on here they didn't play many home games at all in the early 2000's. Is that correct?

Not sure... I didn't really keep up with them untl Gilleran took over around 2004. I think they played at Nash in '04 and at FL in '05.  Nashville winning both times by wide margins.

I checked some other sources and found that Nashville played at FL in 03 and 05. Still curious if the schedules on here are right. Shows FL playing 7 road games in 2001-03. I assume they are wrong.

I have a feeling this is going to be a prove a point game for last year's 1 point victory. Fountain lake thought they should have won and almost did. This year there will be no question.

Fountain Lake QB only has 1 INT in 73 passes and they have a RB averaging about 6 YPG so its possible they could take a lot of the game away. And unlike Nashville, they have played "somebody". At best a moral victory.

Dang. I figured a 3-0 arkadelphia team ranked in the top 10 in 4a would be considered somebody.

I'm pretty sure everyone knows Nashville is the heavy favorite in this one.   FL's defense won't stop them.

MasterChef

I don't believe the Scrappers have any problem this week. I think they're too big and too fast for Fountain Lake. I will pick Nashville 63-13.

Fountain Lake had two very long 12+ play td drives, while Robinson was scoring very quickly. The closest it ever got was 27-12, and then one play later it's 33-12 with 0:25 seconds on the clock.

Could someone please tell me what team this "somebody" is that Nashville needs to play?  Every thread seems to mention that the SCRAPPERS either played "nobody" or not played "somebody".

Field on the Hill - 42
Field on a Mountain - 21
* only if Field on a Mountain takes their first string out in the second half when they are down by 30 and realize their is no way to win... unlike other teams.

or

Field on the Hill > 60
Field on a Mountain - 40ish
* if Field on a Mountain does not take their first string out in the second half when they are down by 30 and realize their is no way to win... like other teams have done.

I guess that the entire 7 4a last year and 3 of the 5a south along with warren and the teams from up north were not anyone.  Same song different dance. Hardest conference in the state and we are talking competition? We will see come week 10.

MasterChef

When you're a good team that wins a lot people are always going to try and put you down.

SUGARTOWN

Hey Scrappers, I was watching some of the Arkadelphia game online and I was wondering why the visitor bleachers are so far away from the field??

I guess that's because the old bleachers were located in the same spot.

Well it certainly isn't ideal for the visiting fans. I just found it strange.

Yep, I try to spend as little time in Nashville as possible anyway.

No, you made a statement that I'm usually wrong, that can be proven or disproven so it's not technically an opinion. My opinion about your town is MY assessment, you don't have to agree but you can't prove or disprove it because it's based on my own criteria.

Anyway, that's enough of your derail, back to football...

beaverfan007

Ftn lake could run the ball effectively play keep away from Nashville and win a close one in mid 20s ... But I think Nashville wins 63 -21

~WPS~

I wonder if FL still has the same PA guy that screams the play by play.

Safe travels to all the Scrappers fans making the trip to Fountain Lake tonight!

Tonight's game will be broadcast on 92.9 KVRE FM, which covers most of the central Arkansas area. The game will also be streamed online (audio only) at www.KVRE.com.
