IMO, coach [Gayle] Kaundart was the best coach in the state in those days. We won it in 71 but Northside had beaten us twice in the regular season.

....and then in 76, Conway and Delph went 36-0....considered to be one of the best.

I would have to say the West Memphis teams with Cage and Lee that won 60+ games in a row and 2 championships.

both were also great teams, there was some really strong basketball played during the mention time span

Delph was a senior in 1974. How was he part of a championship team in 1976?

Dude, my bad. That 76 team had Lawson Pilgrim, Ticey, Sullivan to name a few....Delph had already graduated. That's what happens when I am PUI (Posting Under the Influence.)
