Road to the Summit:  West Memphis dropped its 6A-East conference opener at Mountain Home, 41-40, before reeling off 13 straight victories to win the conference.  In the state tournament, the Lady Blue Devils hammered El Dorado, 66-41, in the second round  before coming from behind to nip Little Rock Parkview, 56-49, in Saturday's semifinals.
Fearless facts: Head coach Sheila Burns  is in her 13th year as West Memphis and has a 294-99 record. Tashley Gaines and Porsha Donnerson are the only returning starters off last year's team that lost to Parkview in the state championship game.
WATSON CHAPEL LADY WILDCATS

Road to the Summit: The Lady Wildcats earned a first-round bye then beat Forrest City, 61-54, in the second round after scoring 26 points in the first quarter and hanging on for the win. In Saturday's semifinals, Watson Chapel  downed Lake Hamilton, 52-38.
Fearless facts:  The Lady Wildcats are playing in their first state championship game.
