Good to see the Arkansas athletes on national TV last night. I will be watching tonight and tomorrow too. I am going to have to visit Eugene some day!

AT

No, 12th Man (Fred Bird if you will) it's not.

The way these sprint semi-finals work is you have 3 heats...top 2 from each heat and the next fastest two make 8.

Because of this, you don't always have the 8 fastest qualify.

Florida was 2nd in their heat, so they grabbed an auto qualification spot, even though we ran faster.

For Arkansas to win a national championship:

They need Florida to finish 8th or get DQ'd in the 4x4.

THey can also be co-champs with Florida if Florida is 7th in the 4x4.

It's unlikely. 2nd place is guaranteed.

Proud of the runner-up, but missing out on Pullen makes me wonder what could have been

RATTLER43

Do you know what happened with Pullen?   49' is awful for him.

AT

I have no idea with Pullen and it stinks that it happened to him, because we would have won with his regular triple jump.

But if we are to complain about that then of course Texas A&M and LSU could complain about what all went wrong for them.

We would probably be talking about how LSU won this championship if Blake-Mitchell hadn't been injured. (maybe).

Honestly, we had all our guys step up and had some things fall our way. It's just that Florida took advantage of day 2 more than we did.

RATTLER43

No complaint here.  I thought we far exceeded expectations!  Jargon was in beast mode.  Kenzo did his thing.  Gabe ran the race of a lifetime....  So many good things!  WPS.
