Gray lizard

Is it normal for a team to run 400s, 200s, and 100s in football morning practice the day of their district track meet?

MICHAELSPAPPY

I would say it is normal in schools where football means everything and track means nothing.

Gray lizard

Everything I find shows a three day cool down period prior to meet.  All the boys looked sluggish and tired.

Yeah... That's idiotic. I'll say it....

Your coach that did that must not understand human physiology and the need to peak for big meets or a Spappy stated above the coach must not think too highly of the track program.

Gray lizard

Well I feel like they set the boys up to fail.  Heck they ran their legs off and then put them on  the bus for over a hour ride. It showed in time and distance.
Heck I knew they were not going to win the meet, but they could have placed better in a few events.

Hats off to Waldron they have a heck of a team.  Won all but 3 events with several boys on top of each event. a few 1,2,3's.  One of the events they did not win no one entered from Waldron.
