I think we should end up with a similar score from last year, seeing as how we should have a pretty good confidence boost after last week.

Nashville 47
Mena 13

bearcat33

See something wrong with coaching in those stats.  Mena has one player who averages over 10 a carry and he gets way less carries than the guy averaging 5. ?????????  Been saying it all year Dean has to get more touches!

bearcat33

If you would have told me we might lose out after a 3-0 start I would have said you were crazy but there is a very good possibility of that happening.

Nacho

Since it's at Nashville I'm going Nashville 56 and Mena 17.

Hey at Glen Rose too!!!!

Bigbossman

Nashville takes this one by a few touchdowns.

RyanLR

Scrappers in cruise control in this one.

SportsReporter

This will be a sad game for the Bearcats. 48-21 Nashville.

I don't know Ryan, I call it the perfect trap game, come out flat after Ashdown, homecoming distractions. You have to be careful this week.

ABC™

Mena doesn't know how to beat Nashville.  It's mental, like Ashdown.

FootBallar21

What if,  what if Mena finally puts in together for an entire game, with their backs against the wall and one final shot to win a game and get back in the playoff hunt.

If they put it together for an entire game they probably still lose, and then you will make excuses like every year.

FootBallar21

whos making excuses,   2014 or 15 they were without their best player,   thats the last time I've seen an excuse for Mena losing to Nashville.        But this is the same team that blew out Dequeen a team that Nashville lost to.     Mena has to get better play from 3 year starting SR. QB though,  he has played below average all season!   and I personally don't think he has it in him and will be happy when he is gone.

Honestly I don't think we would like to play DeQueen right now.  That was the first game with their new coach and that usually doesn't go well.  They have improved a lot and we haven't any.

Underdog2017

If they'll give Dean the ball it will be a closer game. That dude is a powerhouse. I doubt that happens though. I can't figure out why they dont utilize him more.

Must be a reason.

Definitely. I dont know much about Mena or even that many ppl from there so I am not in the loop but there definitely has to be a reason because they would be playing a different game if they did (in my opinion)

ABC™

Maybe they don't think he can handle the work load on offense since he never comes off the field.

Very true- and that does happen a lot with other athletes. I thought the kid was very impressive on Defense thats for sure.

Didn't seem to stop Harper when he had Daughtery in '14

Exactly, the thing with Daughtery was the QB was a good running option too and more offensive weapons on that team.
The biggest problem seems to be Mena runs a lot of zone reads to Dean, and almost always the defense plays Dean and the read is for the QB to keep the ball and he does and gets very little yardage.   There has to be more designed plays for Dean bottom line.

Daughtery wasnt the QB, Kesterson was

Exactly!  Its not rocket science folks.  I bet the QB has as many carries or more than Dean this year or it's close

ABC™

Dean has 65 carries. Cannon has 98.

He'll zero this week against Nashville. Out with a broken hand. Word is that he should be back against Robsinson.

I know thats what I meant,  Keterson was a much better offensive weapon then Cannon is.     Defenses don't have to worry about Cannon running the ball or anyone else.  They only have to worry about Dean.

But yes sad news about Dean and being out with broken thumb.

Mena's spirit has been broken and I think this team finish on a 7 game losing streak after starting 3-0.

I nearly called that spread...

SportsReporter

Anyone that watched this game saw that the Bearcats suffered tremendously with Dean being on the sidelines. They have got to have him out there on the field to compete at a sufficient level.

~WPS~

Nashville had 430 yards in the 1st half, Mena had 52. Mena finished with 108 total yards.

~WPS~

Over the past 4 years, Nashville has outscored Mena 166-21. Mena has not scored on Nashville's starters.

Nashville has outgained Mena 1804 yards (451 per game) to 498 yards (124.5 per game).
