They're definitely more of a high flying Chip Kelly offense for sure. Mountain View has the athletes that they are getting off 90 snaps offensively per game no doubt.

How many of you know this formation?

It was a built through a loophole in the scrimmage kick rule that allowed the numbering exception.  Kudos to the coach that created it, but it was rightfully outlawed on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down.  Rulesman, is it still legal to run on 4th down?

So long as the numbering requirements are met and you are in a scrimmage kick formation. See rules 2-14-1, 2-14-2a, 2-14-2b and 7-2-5b EXCEPTION 2.
