5A Fan Poll - Pre-Season Vote (2nd annual)

Ok, well I was going to wait for C-Mac but he's nowhere to be found yet, so I'm going to go ahead and TRY to get this thing started.

Here's how it's going to work:

Each week fans will send in their top 10 teams to me. You can do this one of three ways...post it on the thread you see on the forums each week. Send me a private message on FearlessFriday. Or email me. (My email is on my profile).

The way we choose which fan will be pollsters is simple: First Come, First serve...to an extent.

So after this thread is posted, you can reply here and say your top 10, BUT don't just put your top 10...

ALSO put the school you are a fan of...here's a sample post

The reason I would like to know who you are a fan of is because we don't need 10 Camden Fairview pollsters for the thread. The results will be unreliable.

Right now I'm limiting it to the first 3 of each school.

"Can I be a pollster if I'm a fan of a school not in 5A?" Yep! As long as you are one of the first three from the school you are a fan of.

"How will the polls be combined to make the final poll?"

Easy: Let's say a poll looks like this

I'm going to release the pre-season poll probably around September 1st if we have enough pollsters. After week 1 is in the books, I will immediately start letting people vote for the next week as long as they vote after all 5A games are finished.

Each week, I will hope to have the polls released on Wednesday and maybe Thursday.

It's preseason, so I'll give Batesville credit.  They're at WMS year after year after year.  I also probably picked Morrilton too high, but they're the returning champs.  Hope, on the other hand, I'm not ready to buy just yet.  I'm not convinced last year wasn't a one-hit wonder.  Sylvan hills I'm pretty shaky on, but the Central coaches picked them #2 in the conference and Hooten's has the #7 overall, so I'll rank them for now.

That's okay Chief, new cycle/new season, I don't think that a lot of us know enough about many of the 5A teams yet.  Right now it is best guess until games start get playing and we see how every team is starting to gel in non conference then the fun really starts in week 4.

Big Fan what do you mean hopped on and off the bandwagon for Greenbrier?  I joined FF around 2007 and have never supported any other team. My son graduated Greenbrier in 09 but still go to most all the football games. One of the Brier basketball coaches is my golf partner so I will stay with them for a while longer.
