It is.  The school website isn't showing it, but I'm told the DeQueen @ WH game was move to 05/09.  Something about the Leopards having something else going on at school on 04/26.  Prom maybe?  I'm not sure.

Looks like De Queen boys is starting to do what they did last year.  Lakeside is closing.  Not knowing what can happen during any game, at this point, the 4/8/14 looks interesting.  Good Luck to both of them.

We ended up with with another kid having a bloody nose from a cheap shot to the face. Refs sucked no red cards given. And Huntsville has very disrespective players. They were smiling and laughing while our boys were on the ground bleeding, grabbing theirselves after the hand shacks toward the parents.

Was you at the same game?  I was there and didn't see anyone laughing when a player went down.   I think when both kids are going full force after a ball in the air and neither stops they will collide and the outcome may or may not be pretty.  There was no cheap shots to the face on either side that I saw.  Soccer is a physical sport and I think the both teams played aggressive.  And of course the boys were jumping around and celebrating after the handshake this is normal behavior for any game win that I have seen for ANY team.  I am not looking for a posting war over this issue I just wanted to stand up for the Huntsville Eagles and the false accusations being made against them.

I was not at the game.  But I asked one of the girl's parents about the boy's game.  I won't go into any details of what he told me other than I heard it was an "ugly" local rivalry game.  Is there any truth that there was around 7 yellow cards issued in this game?

I love this sport.  I know that it is also only high school, but yes it is a very physical game.  I have seen Harrison, Huntsville and a lot of other boys/girls teams, over the years, play very physically.  As they should, but within reason, let your talent of this sport win a game, not other factors for any team.  From what I heard and read, this game seems to have gotten way out of hand.

I will say yes there was several yellow cards not sure of the number.  I do know one of those was issued to the Harrison coach.  As far as players on either side laughing , smiling or grabbing themselves I didn't witness any of that.  I love the sport also, just hate that it has to turn so ugly with false accusations. What happened in the boys game?

Huntsville won because the Gobs made 1 defensive mistake and didn't put any of their 30+ shots in the back of the net. The game was played in front of Huntsville goal all night.

The better team didn't win but the more "physical" team did. Even though what I watched from a very good view was not soccer it was assault.
