AS I set in the pouring rain yesterday getting ready for the State Championship game, I heard a loud commotion on the JC end of the field and saw all the Cheerleaders jumping up and down and hugging each other uncontrollably. Well jumping up and down is what they do, but they where doing it more than normal as they had just been told they had won the State Cheerleading competition. Now that's a great way to start the game with the momentum of that sort on your side. Those girls rode up Friday night, got up competed and then drove to WMS without even knowing the outcome of their competition to support the Dragons. Now that is dedication. Thanks for getting it going for the boys, girls and CONGRATULATIONS.......

As Ron "Tater Salad" White would say, "That's profiling. And profiling is wrong."  ;D

I was there.  They had more cheerleaders than any of the 3A schools.  Word going around Summit Arena was 10 of their 20 cheerleaders are seniors.  Can anyone from JC confirm or deny?  They sure look like a 3A/4A school to me.

Hey, participation rates and the realistic possibility of jewelry have a positive correlation.  That works for cheerleaders just like it does football players.  ;D

They don't list grades, but here's the school's cheerleading webpage with a list of the senior high and junior high groups.

Do jr. high cheerleaders "move up" like the football players do at the end of the jr. high season?  If that's the case, looking at the website, I'd guess 5 or so of those 20 you mentioned were 9th graders.

That 20 sounds like it could be made up of 5 from each class, but don't take my work on it.  I don't know didley about cheerleading.

So...I've seen Hector have 15 cheerleaders, and 12 players...what classification should we have been placed in based off of our cheerleader situation??

oh yeah....as to concern of the whole J.C looks/should be in a higher classification
