Saw in the paper this morning that Cameron Golden was arrested on 7 felony counts including drug and gun possession.  Could face life in prison if convicted on all counts.

I am a Red Wolves supporter and alum, but it is hard to be positive about the program when multiple players are in legal trouble.  Especially this kind of trouble.  The coaching staff had to have picked up on some kind of sign that this stuff was going on didn't they?  What kind of message does it send to the community and potential recruits when players are doing this kind of stuff?

Get rid of John Brady. None of the players like him anyways. He does a horrible job recruiting. This is embarassing

You can't maintain a program without recruiting (and keeping) 4 year guys.  All of the JUCO and transfer players don't build any kind of continuity in a program.

He's gone after this year, if they had an extra $350,000, he would have been gone last year.

Agreed.  Everyone is tired of him.  Was a good hire at the time, but the poor state of the program is undeniable.

I would love for Wes Swift to get an opportunity

Who is Wes Swift?

Head Coach at Jonesboro high school. Multiple state championships won at different schools. He's really big in the AAU Wings program.

Interesting thought but I doubt that would ever happen.

I will say this though...ASU has passed over players from JHS that were considered some of the best in the state that went on to be successful in college.  Ross and Pointer both come to mind.  I feel like both of those guys would have had a positive impact on the program.

I doubt they would go that direction, but Wes can coach.

No doubt about that.  I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up coaching college ball in the not so distant future.

I wouldn't think it would be too far fetched. If you're Terry Mohjair, think about how well he could recruit the state of Arkansas. He knows all the great players in the area and apparently develops them pretty well. If anything, he would put butts in the seats with the kids he recruits and the style of basketball he plays.
