+ 1.  That's funny right there.   You think he might sign Lil Abner & the Schmoo while at Dogpatch?  Of course the younger ones wont know what I'm talking about.  I do respect the hard work though.  I wish ASU good luck and support them.  Go Hogs.

If I remeber correctly, Dogpatch USA was located in north west Arkansas and based on the lifestyles of hill-williams and hill-williamettes. ;)

[/quote]You are correct. Couldn't have found a better place to put it.  It was based on Al Capps cartoon strip.  That Daisy Mae sure looked nice in those short shorts and cutoff polka dot shirt. I miss Dogpatch too.

True Believer

Did anyone ever go to the theme park there??   I did and Marble Falls.  It was man made snow and you could ski!

Pretty place.

Ridge Rat

Took the first wife there on our honeymoon lol. Went plenty of times when I was a kid, wasn't exactly the same as an adult. It's all just sitting there rotting now.

AirWarren

My parents took me up there when I was really young. I don't remember it other than the stories they tell me.

Tony "Tailwind" Turner of Waterloo announces he will sign with ASU !!!!

Yep this is a major blow to ASU, Gus had really good conections with HS coaches in the state.

Best of luck to the new coach and staff.

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY !!!!! Yea ASU might as well put UAPB and UCA on the schedule and play one BIG School (Nebraska, Texas, Okie State) a year.

Lions84

They are too Skeered to cause UAPB or UCA might beat them.

I never knew how worried you Hog fans were last year. The Redwolf Gus bus had a bunch of you scared... shows in the relief I am reading in your post that Gus has moved on.

I find it comical.

Beat UCA 47-3 or something like that in 2011, UAPB is on the schedule next year.  Educate yourself please.

On a serious note things such as these will help build their fan base in the state.

Playing UCA and UAPB will build their fan base?
Within the state yep. More and more people will get to see them play. Same reason the Hogs play in War Memorial. As they move more  games to Fayetteville they will starting losing a foothold in Arkansas.

p.s. I am not an ASU fan. I grew up calling the Hogs just like most in Arkansas, but I am slowly starting to realize that I am no longer a fan. I want the Hogs to do well like most other Arkansas schools, but year after year I am becoming more and more disenchanted with UAF and that area in general.

Thay area?? It doesn't sound to me like you were a true fan if it matters to you where they play. As an alum, I think all the games need to be on campus, I suspect that after 2016 it will be that way, or only one in LR. I grew up going to games at WMS, my first in 1967, and I believe that revenue dictates we play all the games in Fay.

Since the state of Arkansas now recognizes moral victories. I figure if we stay within 14 it would be a win.
