I think it was actually 18-2.  It was 6-2 and a good game before England had to pull their pitcher to save his innings for a conference game Friday. England put in a kid who  would not be pitching in a conference game.  I hear we gave up 12 runs in one inning.

That is high school baseball these days.  Because of pitching limits, these type of games give a good picture into how a team can handle day three of regionals, etc. You have to have at least 3 pretty good pitchers, as well as a good team, to get very far into state.  I have seen great fielding and hitting teams with only one pitcher, and you could win that way ten years ago, but not really any more.

Definitely the Southland and Bee Branch seem to be the tops right now.  There are some solid teams in the east with Salem, Riverside, etc. and Yellville, Cotter and Flippin are good but not great.  Having State up here in Mountain Home will probably help some of the regional teams up here with not having to travel very far vs. Junction City and Parkers Chapel, who will probably have to stay in hotels and/or travel 4 plus hours.
