BOYS: If it weren't for EPC, Strong would be the favorite to hoist the trophy in Hot Springs....

GIRLS: Norphlet and Parkers Chapel will meet in Hot Springs....the Lady Trojans will win their first-ever state basketball championship.

And I hope the 2A game is on Thursday the 10th so I can see it....I'm going out of town that weekend and won't be able to see any of the other title games.

Girls:  Best first round game is Norphlet and EPC.  EPC was projected first in the state and got beat.  Now they have to battle Norphlet in round one.

Boys:  I thought that the best game in Round 1 was going to be EPC/Mineral Springs but Mineral Springs is slipping.  Im thinking Riverside and Junction City might be a good first round game.

I'm not going to be in Monette all week long for the tournament.  I'm going down on Wednesday, and it will just depend on if Mountainburg wins or loses how long I'm there.  If they lose their first round game, I'll be coming back Thursday night or Friday morning.

They are a guard heavy team. they  put up big numbers behind the arc. and can shoot extremely well. they're not to be taken lightly.

County Line ladies up 18 to 8 after 1st on Augusta

County Line ladies up 26 to Augusta's 17 after 1st half. CL's Lovelace has been too much for August thus far, and one of Augusta's two freshman have kept them within reach as well.

County Line ladies up 38 to 30. August pulled within two (32 to 30) with a possesion to tie, but CL held strong. Had a good possesion to go up four then two quick possesions and buckets to end the third.

They had a chance mid way through the forth to make it a 3 point game but missed three straight FTs with one being from end of a one and one. Lovelace had 20, just too much for Augusta. The line will have to tighten up if they want to continue in the tourney. They had about 10 Turnovers in the 4th quarter alone.

Sorry its not as frequent as ladies game but had to go to work. Its been all Claredon in this one so far. Cl down 15 to 11 after 1 and down 25 to 36 with Jackson hittin a big 3 to end the half. He is legit! 24 in first half. I hope the Indians can pull it off but they got to slow him down if they are going to win. Should b a good 2nd half!
