2A-4 East/West District and Regional Tournament Thread

Oh goodness. What im worried about is why Danville had people thrown out for saying the referees were pitiful but i got word from a danville player that CL people were cussing at him when he took the ball out of bounds. Where is the logic in that? Thats not good for a student.

Neutral, you're right about the CL fan smack talking the Danville player. I was sitting a few rows behind him (Danville and CL were all mixed together on the CL side) and many of our Danville fans had a screaming fit. The ref was standing right there with the CL player and the Danville player as CL was taking the ball out. So that means that the Danville player was facing the CL fans who were on the bottom row. Our player got razzed really  bad by a fan. He is just a kid!!! That man should've been tossed faster than he could blink an eye and the ref just let it go on, and that was with the Danville fans screaming at him to do something. Yes, four Danville people were tossed from that game, not a single CL person was and many of them were on the bottom row and having very vocal fits, yet they got to stay.

But the funny thing is: Subiaco and Cedarville will not be participating in the State tournament. Oh darn

Yeah I know. Subi had a tough year. But I'm glad my boys made it to regionals though. Better than most people thought because losing their star point guard.

We in 6-A may talk trash about each other daring the season and when we play each other, but when it comes down to Regional and State  we all get behind our Conference School. Kinda like the SEC, we have the power, and we as fans are proud of our schools, or kids and our conference.  6-A will be their on the last day, Hughes, Augusta, Des Arc, or Clarendon  one of them, and it could be two.

1. there was no fan that ran out on the court.  there was one that said something to an official as the fan walked by toward the lobby, but he was escorted out. 
2. 2 of the 3 officials for that game had NO business calling a regional final. 
3. the last technical for the kid untucking his jersey... this should be a technical, however, it should be a technical as soon as he untucks his jersey and not 30 seconds later when the kid is at the bench sitting down. 
4. It was a poorly officiated game all around.  Someone commented earlier that there were 4 players from CL that had 4 fouls... False.  There were 2 players from CL that had 4 fouls.  and there were 4 from Dville that had 4 fouls. 
5.  The intentional foul was a hard foul.  He actually did go for the ball, with 2 hands, and the kid hit the floor.  This was a call that could go either way and one team's fans are not going to like the call.  It was unfortunate timing.
6.  I watched the game with a friend of mine that is a basketball coach... he graduated from CL.  He even commented about how bad the officiating was.

You are incorrect sir. Check the books. Four players had four fouls from County Line. A man did run out on the court. He was an old man with gray hair wearing a green sweater. The ref called the technical on the kid that raised his jersey up thirty seconds later because it was so far up he didn't know what number to call it on. Seems like some are just sore losers to me...

sounds to me like you just want to rub it in a little bit.  I am not even a danville fan.  If you want to come on here and start posting stuff on here you better have the facts to back up your claims.  I watched the entire game as an impartial fan.  I saw what I saw with no blinders on and no bias.  Unless you were a score keeper, a player or are one of the coaches you would have no access to the score book and have no idea FOR SURE that there were 4 kids with 4 fouls.  get back to class newby
And noone got kicked while they were on the floor.  You guys are really reaching for stuff that isn't there.  You are trying to make it sound like Danville was the only one being classless, and that is so not the truth

you said in an earlier post that someone was kicked after being knocked to the floor on a foul... that didn't happen

Since COUNTY LINE  Girls have a game going on with AUGUSTA now (1:00)   

AND

COUNTY LINE Boys have a 2:30 game with CLARENDON maybe someone
could help keep the scores posted!!!!    All of this discussion of adults
behaving badly is overshadowing the  athletes playing their hearts out.

CL ladies are up 8 with about 6min to go in the game. They had a big lead early and let Augusta pull within two in the 3rd. They have problems with turnovers in second half.

County line Ladies win 48 to 41 over Augusta. Good effort from Augusta. They never gave up. They had a chance mid way through the forth to make it a 3 point game but missed three straight FTs with one being from end of a one and one. Lovelace had 20, just too much for Augusta. The line will have to tighten up if they want to continue in the tourney. They had about 10 Turnovers in the 4th quarter alone.
