Yea,  im thinking the same thing. I hope they offered him a substantial pay increase. But he may be considering that the cupboard in des arc is going to be low after next year for a year or two.

If the players buy into his system, most definitely. He is an excellent defensive minded coach. He did a lot with not much talent at des arc. He can turn bauxite back into a contender.

IIRC,  Marvell does have a state title in their program history back in the 1980s I believe.

The whole town was NOT in on that!!!!! Just a few, not everybody! I, for one, am proud of him being coach of the year. He has been through a lot and finally had a group of kids that listened and played as a family. Not one of them were ready to quit and get in the gym because the weather was cold or raining! They set a goal at the first of the year and saw it thru!!!!!
