I didn't notice that, but you are right.....surely, Corey is better than one of the plethora of sub-5A level players that made this team.....

In many cases, players turn down going to the game.  Then others move up.  The list that comes out are confirmed players.

A name not being on the list doesn't necessarily mean they were not 'selected'.

East is freakin loaded!  Weaver, Purifoy, McClure, Mosely, McNeaill, N. Pulaski kids, & Johnston!  The starting 5 could all be D1! Shoot even their manager is better than half the other team!

This.  I've seen kids from the smallest two classifications in the past that made the All-Star team, that would've been lucky to crack a rotation at a bigger school that same year.

The All-Star selection is a joke.  If your coach is on the selection committee then you politic for your player to be on it.  The selection of what schools fall in West or East is confusing at best.  Looking at the first person on the list is Troy Brown with Bay.  He should not be on the All Star team but was his coach on the selection committee - yes.  Many players in 1A are better than him.  There are some good players on the list but needs to be a better way of selection.  You could even take the top ranked players in each class and put it to a vote. Not the crazy stuff like if the no.2 player is selected then you have to have the no.1 in that district -- the no.2 player should not be picked first - coaches need to quit manipulating the process.

There is no such thing as far as All-Stars and the AAA goes.  The only thing you might be refering to is the Dem-Gaz does one and released it about 3 weeks ago.

But it's about selling papers with them and not accuracy.
