panther, in the 400 we have Ethan Brewer who ran a 50.86 at the indoor meet in Fayetteville. Most of the other sprinters are question marks right now.

The 800 is a big question mark. We have a couple of guys who run their 4 x 8 splits in the 2:07 area right now, but they may focus on the mile more this year, I don't know yet.

The 1600 will be about as deep as it ever has been. We have 4 guys under five minutes already.

The 3200, we have one guy who has ran 11:30. Everyone else is a question mark.

Thanks V-EAGLES.

I've got 5A and 7A up to date. I'm trying to find time to do 6A.

6A is a little tough for me, because I keep forgetting who is in who's conference, but I think I have it figured out now.

I am hearing that V just ran an 8:15 in the 4 * 800 at the Russellville meet...which was good for 3rd behind Heber Springs and Russellville.

Smokin.

Holy smokes! That's a great time!

And here's another one...a 1600 meter time for a Mountain Home runner of 4:23.

This is, of course, all unofficial but it sounds like there is a good mix of competitive teams and good running conditions at Russellville today.

Wil Norris of Mountain Home I assume.

Maybe the best distance runner in the state...him or Aidan Swain of Fayetteville.

Wow, that's a great time.. Im assuming 1:55, 203, 204, 2:13?

I have to (re)emphasize all these times I'm getting are 2nd hand (I am not at the meet....darn it).  I only know one split time - and that was the last split in 2:07 (ran by the sophomore) - and that the 3rd leg was the slowest....  I'll try to get split times...

I sure hope the results from this meet show up on Direct Athletics....

It will.. and You are right, 8:15 has been confirmed.. also, Cabot ran an 8:06, but they DQed them because they got ran off the track for more than 3 steps.. Ridiculous.. If it wasnt to their advantage, why DQ them?.. Anyways, 8:15 is legit.. The only problem, and Ive said this before when it comes to state, is that they arent gaining anymore points in that race than they did last year.. I cant wait for MOC tho :)

It is crazy.. If you added up just those projections, Magnolia wouldnt even be a top 3 team.. It just shows how much strategy plays into district and state

Speaking of which, I saw a few of those made yesterday.  It's amusing to watch a track coach go through the permutations and possibilities in trying to wring out a few more points from their lineup prior to a meet and then have to sit and watch it unfold, powerless to do much once the running starts.  I wish I had the Xanax concession for track coaches....
