Arkansas High School Baseball / Re: 2024 3A BaseballLast post by CoachKBo21 - Today at 12:42:02 pmQuote from: Duck12 on April 21, 2024, 08:00:05 amLooking ahead to Regionals how's the 3A-2 look? Figure Walnut Ridge and Melbourne are good but don't really know what they have scouting wise. Cave City beat Southside who whooped Gosnell in a game they absolutely looked like they didn't want to play. Should be a pretty competitive Regional. It will be a tough and competitive regional. In my opinion it is the deepest regional where there could be upsets. The central regional will be cac/Ha easily. South will be the 7 dominating the 8 once again. HGOC may be only team form 7 to advance but drew central Smackover and Dewitt have all shown flashes this year. Booneville and Elkins are favorites of course in region one(1 and 4). Charleston looked good so far in district. They just lack depth. 2

Class 5A Bulletin Board Material / Re: Farmington openLast post by DerekOxford - Today at 12:36:39 pmQuote from: we_hate_the_band on April 23, 2024, 09:41:17 amI'm with you to an extent, but you throw out the miracle 2011 semi run where they had the move ins from Fayetteville (big TE that went to Pitt State), what does that draw the average down to? If you're referencing Deon Clay, he wasn't a move-in from Fayetteville. He had grown up in Farmington his entire life, transferred to Fayetteville during his junior year, played sparingly for them and then transferred back to Farmington for his senior year. They put him at QB late in the season and that's what spurred them to that playoff run. He had played QB for them in junior high when they won conference. 4

Pennington won two titles at LRC and is a Springdale native. It was also family-related. Hate to see him leave LRCA. He was a great person. 5
