5:00 (5A) Greenwood vs. Siloam Springs* (rematch from '07)

A great season comes to an end with several teams going for repeats and several conferences with dual team representation.

Results from all the Finals:

Bentonville wins 3-1 (25-16, 18-25, 25-21, 25-22) over Rogers

Valley View wins 3-2 (24-26,27-25,23-25, 25-21, 15-11) over Westside

Lavaca wins 3-1 (25-19, 25-17, 16-25, 27-25) over Mansfield

Siloam Springs wins 3-1 (25-17, 25-20, 22-25, 25-20) over Greenwood.

Jonesboro wins 3-1 (25-22,25-23,25-27,25-22) over Lake Hamilton

Valley View was amazing !!! They wanted the title and they did not sit back and wait for it /THEY TOOK IT !
No one thought they could do this and they proved everyone wrong.

If I read the Ark Dem Gazette correctly, and if they reported correctly, it appears each of the three state champions in classes 3A, 4A and 5A had lost its three previous matches with its championship game opponent this season. So each were 0-3 against the opponent this season, but won the 4th. Just found that interesting. I guess in volleyball the adage should be it's hard to beat a team four times in a season.
