It looked like the sophomore QB got sick during the Paragould game (projectile vomiting). The back-up came in and performed quite well. The back-up may not have the same arm strength as the starter, however, his accuracy was good and his running seems to be better. I have not seen Batesville SS play, but based on what I have read, this has the potential to be a good game.

SS is very solid. They are lacking in the overall speed department but definitely have the size covered. Pocahontas has a pretty good RPO system. They are still a young team and will also be missing their starting qb in this matchup. SS defense is going to be tested though. They will have to shut down the pass and with #3,#5,#15 out there it might be difficult. Pocahontas defense is going to be tasked with shutting down a very productive SS offense as well.

dropped three, caught two, almost returned one for a TD.
Another INT by a SS defensive lineman on a tipped ball with 1:28 left in the game will seal a Southerner victory!

SS did a great job limiting #3 tonight. Only a few bug plays none for TD. Definitely need to work DBs on not letting people get behind them. QB for Pokey overthrew at least three guys who would have strolled into endzone. Penalties definitely hurt SS tonight as well. They might have scored another 14 or so points if not for a lot of holding penalties and a few unsportsmanlike calls as well. You know coach Simpson will not be happy when he looks at that film.
Anyone know how Green Forest did tonight? Haven't heard from our troller in a while so I'm guessing not well.

Great atmosphere at SS. Liked the jumbo Tron screen. Nice people. Good football team. They definitely showed us the areas we need to work on.

Looks like the colts had a close call
EXTREMELY close call. Rivercrest offense has some definite problems, but most of it could be fixed with different calls coming from the side line.

The passing looked bad. Our receivers are going to have to be aggressive and go after the ball. Too many situations where they were watching and waiting for the ball to get to them. SS defenders went after it and were not challenged. Qb was getting it there. Over there a couple. But there were quite a few that the receivers let get away. Running game was pretty solid. The defense played well just got wore out from being on the field so much. SS was big up front and aggressive. A few times they were over aggressive and should have been flagged for it but oh well it happens that way. They did show a few times that they were wearing down but Pocahontas just could not get it going. Plenty to work on for next week but I feel confident that things will improve for a still very young team.
going to have to disagree on the QB getting the ball to the receivers. Way too many overthrown, under thrown, and just off target. QB looked OK with his legs but not with his arm. Don't believe this one can be blamed on the receivers.
