Quick thoughts on boys:

Booneville vs. the fighting Payton Browns interests me. I think Booneville got a good draw for a first rounder.

Mayflower-Charleston intrigues me.

I thought I would not be interested at all in who BP played in the first round, but Elkins isn't a pushover. I'll be interested to see how much BP wins by...or....if they win at all (dun dun dun dun)

Valley Springs, if they win, might get the host. No bueno for them.

Quick thoughts on the girls:

Interesting bracket. I'm quick to say that VS will be in the semis.

Hoxie might play the winner of, wait for it, LAMAR AND CHARLESTON in a playoff game. Man if this wasn't 5 hours away from these two teams, that gym would be hot and pumping. I bet fireworks still fly. These two schools don't like each other much. Two good teams.

Am I the only one who is kind of interested in Mountain View/Two Rivers? You could argue that Mountain View got a tougher draw than Valley Springs for the first two games. I know Atkins beat TR, though. Interesting.

Yes as a Lamar Fan. This is a CRAZY CRAZY schedule, for us.  And I agree 2 Rivers is a VERY scary 4 seed.

On the boys side...

As a Drew Central fan, I like our draw, but it's the state tournament and anything can happen.

The Mayflower/Charleston game is probably the most intriguing first round game to me.

Ashdown is legit, having only two losses on the season and both by one point. I like the possibility of them playing Baptist Prep in the quarterfinals.

Osceola should feed off their home crowd to at least make it to Saturday, but like I said in my first statement... it's the state tournament and anything can happen.

*Do we know if there will be a livestream happening? This graduate student may not be able to make the journey from Russellville due to work and interviews.

Valley Springs (I like Valley and Osceola to the 2nd round and that game is a true pick 'em).

Then my head says Harding and Baptist to the finals.
