Another ignorant remark, as you didn't even mention Nashville  which is the state's best in playoff wins.
BTW Prescott is around eight on that list with 64.

Why would anyone mention Nashville when talking about Arkansas programs with 20+ state titles and Greenwood with 9.

You're over inflating the worth of a couple programs now.

Wow...and back to Smackover vs Prescott.

HeadBussa08

Believe Prescott wins this one by 2 tds. This will be their stiffest test yet. Johnson and company are a problem for any defense. Prescott D is very solid as well and fly to the football. Have heard some very positive things about Smack though. Speed all over the field and finally a system those kids believe in. Outta be a fun one to watch.

he is good no doubt... very shifty and sees the field very well but I saw about 37 missed tackles. Definitely not one you can arm tackle. I'll take Prescott by 2 scores.

Did he get ejected from last week's game or the week before?

snoopy22

Week before.  Turner is eligible to play against Prescott.

So he's been ejected and has had issues finding a place to play.. my guess is still on those Texas stats not being real.

Been waiting on this, I prefer my ball not to be sitting on a tee, lol.

Linebacker

Speed is good helps a whole lot. But my opinion is defense wins ball games.

Linebacker

With that Prescott wins this one at home against a good Smackover team. Prescott by 10 points.

WHITEchicken

But fast defense is even better.

HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 4 Smackover at No. 2 Prescott
Winner likely wins the 5-3A league title, a first-round playoff bye and home-field advantage throughout the 3A playoffs. Teams have not met since 2013, a  29-21 Smackover win. Prescott surrendered just 114 yards last week in a 65-20 conquest at Bismarck. The Curley Wolves rolled up a season-high 566 yards at Bismarck and led 50-0 at halftime. Senior QB Ryan Johnson completes 60 percent of his passes for 939 yards with 10 touchdowns and an interception. Promising sophomore running back Alex George paces Prescott with 357 rushing yards (10.2 yards per carry) and nine TDs. Junior Derriun Thompson runs shifty routes out of the backfield (five catches for 60 yards) to compliment his 337 rushing yards and six scores. Senior receiver, and Landers Super Teamer, Cameron Cox caught 22 passes this year for 388 yards and three TDs. Cox have eclipsed 100 yards receiving the past two weeks. Senior Jordan Glass (6-3, 180) is a red-zone target (four TD catches). Prescott has forced 11 turnovers this year.  Smackover stormed to a 42-0 first-quarter led last week in a 56-0 win over Horatio. It was the Buckaroos' first shutout since 2016. Smackover led 42-0 in the first quarter and coasted. Senior QB Roshard Boone, with improved throwing mechanics, triggers the Buckaroo offense, which averages 50.3 points per game. Junior Dettravon Crockett (115 yards and a TD against Horatio) leads Smackover in rushing and senior Ja'Von Modica makes plays in the backfield and at receiver. Senior two-way lineman Max Gathright missed the Horatio game but is expected to return this week. Junior Alex Savage stands out at guard and defensive tackle.

Linebacker

I see Smackover runs the ball a lot, what about passing?

Over the last two games... Roshard has thrown for 8 or 9 TDs. I'll have to go through my stats to get the full numbers.

Last week he threw a beautiful ball that Modica reached out with one hand and caught it... Took it to the house. Roshard threw it where the only person that would have caught that was Modica.

Linebacker

How tall is Modica and is he a wide out? What is his jersey #

Proud Buckaroo

I have no idea at all.

You will have to see Friday.

He is a (probably) 6'5" about 245, Right handed, Scorpio that enjoys 80s ballads and scoring touchdowns. He wears number 99 because that's his Madden rating.

Smackover Fan

Small bit of insider information. We have 2 Modicas, and they are both talented.

Older one wears #23 plays Slot WR & Buck/SS/OLB (He's basically a hybrid force player) and younger one wears #3 Plays Outside WR & FS. His hudl tape is on the third page if you want to check him out. Dexter Crockett's is too.

Pay attention Snoop, we all know his records are sealed. He was in the write up but only college coaches can see that part.

WHITEchicken

Contract has been signed to not mention turner in by name in the media. Please refer to him as "that guy", "unknown participant ", or "Texas kid" from now on.
