Ozark/Booneville will be the toughest game for both 7G teams so far.

Expect a one-possession result either way.

x14113

The winning streak is now just an unbeaten streak...

Ended in a tie. Booneville had a TD called back with 7 seconds left. Next play was a long pass completed and then tackled at the 1 yard line to end the game.

That is not the score I expected to see.

The Coach

Dard played well. Physically dominated every aspect of the game. This bunch has gotten better every game just like they did last yr as 8th graders.

Any other scores from last night?

OLDSCHOOL82

Booneville over west fork in Jr high.  Cant remember the score.

PrivateLesson

Heard Waldron defeated Dover 34-14 in Junior High

x14113

Anyone know about Pottsville-Subiaco?

I'm waiting to update the standings until at least that one comes through...

The Coach

I was told Potts won 34-14

I counted 12 players for Subiaco team.  Got to be some tough young boys by now.

That may have been their 7th grade team. It confuses everyone, because they come out and warm up and get a little experience before the Jr. High comes out to warm up. The 7th grade never plays an actual game because they don't have enough kids though. Unless the Jr. High suddenly lost a bunch because they had twenty something.

So... when has warming up been considered getting experience?  Do they not just move them up and play jv games with them and a few 8th graders?

I agree, it's odd. The night I saw this circus there were nine of them. I assumed a few more would come out. They were very small. I thought these kids are going to get hurt, assuming they were the Jr. High team. They threw some passes and ran a few plays then all left the field as 24 Jr. High sized kids came on warmed up and played. Probably the same mess and confusion x14113 referenced a few posts up.

Gray lizard

That may very well be the case.  My 7th grader played Pottsville's 8th grade team.  He had home work and we left before the game started.  Pottsville's JR high team had been on the field warming up for some time.

Lacerta agilis

Are 7th graders enrolled at Subi now?

Yes, not many. Last year they had one 7th grader on Jr. High roster.

I believe that first group is their quarterback and receivers. I've seen them punt and kick during that period as well. Then they come back out with their linemen. The point stands though, that their numbers are much lower than those of the schools they are playing.
