Class 5A Bulletin Board Material / Re: Farmington openLast post by Riggins’ Rigs - Today at 03:49:46 pmQuote from: SamWinters on Today at 11:00:47 amAny legit candidates emerging? I'd think Brad Bolding would throw his name in the pot, and I'd be willing to bet this job draws a ton of other applicants. That might be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. That's also just offensive to Brad Bolding. Dude is one of the best coaches in the state, have some respect. 12
Class 6A Bulletin Board Material / Re: GW move inLast post by Pr8hd - Today at 03:42:25 pmQuote from: Rocket23 on April 25, 2024, 12:23:05 pmAlso kids ( and their parents) want to go where they win. I have known parents who relocated to specific schools because of their success in a particular sport. Most kids want to go where they can play and win. It's a lot of time, effort and dedication asked of these kidsthese days. 13

Outstanding. 15
Class 6A Bulletin Board Material / Re: GW move inLast post by Pr8hd - Today at 03:26:07 pmQuote from: AT on April 25, 2024, 10:33:38 amShould be mentioned that Greenwood loses a fair share of kids to Hackett every year. Some would say those kids aren't going to play for the Bulldogs, but that is not always the case. Some just do not want to wait behind upperclassmen. These are good points. It also works vice versa too.... upperclassmen don't appreciate being replaced by freshmen or sophomores and see the writing on the wall in those scenarios as well. This is part of the reason why GW lost QB's to Mansfield and Elkins. It should be mentioned seen Alma, VB, GW, NS, SS all lose kids to each other as well as the smaller surronding schools. Transfer portal is alive and well in AAA these days. 16
Class 5A Bulletin Board Material / Re: Farmington openLast post by JessieP - Today at 03:23:31 pmI'll admit I'm not at all versed in Farmington, know nothing about them. It seems like they are the Valley View of the West, meaning a ton of hype with zero results. We have seen dozens of "watch out for Farmington", "This is Farmington's year", "Farmington os going to shock people this year, they are up and coming" type posts. The pattern seems to be that Farmington enters September like Lions but leave November like kittens.
It's all moot anyway, this is Valley View's year. No seriously, this is their year, they aren't kidding this time. VV is WMS bound, stop laughing we really mean it this year. 17
Class 6A Bulletin Board Material / Re: GW move inLast post by Pr8hd - Today at 03:21:58 pmQuote from: whippersnapper on April 25, 2024, 10:50:06 amDidn't some move to Mansfield to in the last 3-4 seasons? I also know that Charleston and Booneville are not that far down the road either. Yes,6 kids from one family (3 adopted - 2 currently Soph and 2 currently Jr) along with another kid (Sr this year) that was starting QB for them at one point went to Mansfield. 2 Others went to Booneville as Soph. this past season and both started on O Line as Soph. 2 kids (twins) reloacted to Elkins (1 high profile starting QB who was Sr this year). There is a kid at Hackett lives in GW, great family, well know name and multiple D1 kids in family. Kids are going where they can play, win or get more attention. GW has lost multiple kids to Charleston in past as well due to various rules or playing time. It happens in many places. Who knows these new move ins to GW could cause more to relocate to the surrounding schools in a domino effect....can't blame the kids for quitting in some cases or wanting to go where they can play especially if they have been in program for awhile. 18
