Coverage will begin at 4pm each day of the tournament and games can be seen live right here on our page, as well as on Tubetown channel 21 on Ritter Communications Cable.

I imagine because of travel. They played blended in Jr. High last season in Marked Tree.
Travel is far worse for us. We have to go to Sherwood.

Last year Marked Tree, EPC, BIC, and Marmaduke had to travel to Cotter which is on the other the side of Mountain Home... Mountain Home is nice for vacationing but traveling those 3 hours one way for a game in the hills must have been horrible.

Sounds like last 2 weeks BIC is finally starting to play well. I think BIC has an excellent chance to beat Cotter. I think 3 teams made to regionals at Carlisle and I think 3 will advance again.

And the teams this conference is playing in district have been owned for years by this conference. So it's not a huge surprise so see the 4 seed beat their 1 at all.

It's one of those things that any fan of the game see all the time; teams go in cycles at every level. 10 years ago I would have never thought that Cleveland, OKC, and GS would be the top teams in the NBA but here we are. The players don't dictate who they play. I personally don't like how the conference is split but that was out of the schools control. They are the " Cream of the crop to beat" because they haven't played anyone and are undefeated? Wow!!! If you haven't played no one all year of course you will be undefeated. They ran from Osceola c'mon man. I don't see why the hype is so high for MT other than being undefeated by not playing anyone. Smh

Every team in these forums have boosted their teams on FF, from 1A - 7A. I also think some of these teams (EPC, Earle, Trumann, Rivercrest) would be insulted by their teams being nobodies (since you said they haven't played anyone). Basketball is a game by game sport..... on any given night a team could come out and shock the world.
As for as Osceola is concerned, that's over and done with. Both teams have different stories as to why that game didn't happen. Maybe the Seminoles should been more focused on their conference, since they lost to Brookland within that same week...IJS

No, our situation was worse because we had already beaten the soon to be 2,4,5 and 6A state champions during our regular season. It was heartbreaking but it also taught us a valuable lesson.

You're welcome. It was a sloppy game but that's how EPC prefers it I think. Getting up and down and making it chaotic. EPC shot the ball better than I remember them doing early in the year and deserved to win. BIC on the other hand couldn't make a layup or free throw. Congrats to all 4 teams on making Regional Tournament next week though.

You do realize that 4 of the 5 seniors played on the same team with Griffin and Miles.... Perry-washington started on that team and the other 3 produced off the bench. Rather than the bull of saying 2A is down or they haven't played anyone, or whatever today's rant is, I'm just gonna say GOOD JOB MT and keep proving to people that team ball is better than having 1 or 2 star players. MT is no where near some of the good epc teams. 2A must be really down this year. Epc isn't very good and probably a top 5 team.
I agree about that or Cedar Ridge team and a few others but atleast this year there is probally 8 teams with a chance to win it where like last year we all really knew nobody was beating Earle same thing with Cedar when they won championships game by 24 over Clarendon and the year EPC and Cedar played for championship every body knew that would be the finals! I think over all 3a and 2a our little down!

Ive never said we were angels. But I've been giving MT props all year. I said they would be a threat before the season started. Something you fools would never do when we were crushing you for years, not just a season.
There's a reason MT rushes the court every time they beat us. That's because you know you are below us and you always will be win or lose.

Seems to me that MT cannot handle winning and/or losing with class....
It is a real shame that some adults who call themselves fans get on message boards when things are going well then when things go south they cannot be found. Marked Tree's boys are having a special year and that is not enough to win and say how proud you are of them and support them, instead you belittle and berate others. things run in cycles. Show a little class and sportsmanship and you might actually enjoy the game for what it is while shining a positive light on your school.

I call it a lie.....MT Fans use to cheer for EPC when they played other schools but y'all, as in EPC got cocky and attempted to taunt MT fans and players by rooting for other schools from other conferences. I watched them the other night root for Sloan Hendrix and Cotter. But I guess I would have too in order to avoid getting beat by the same guys for the 5th time.

I have never once been to a game and saw a MT fan cheer for us. Not a single one. Quite the opposite in fact.
But I have seen MT fans and players. Sit in our stands and stand on our side of the football field and antagonize our fans and root for other teams.
And if they did it was for the same reason you stayed we did. But again I've never seen it.

Now see that's were I call lies...... MT and EPC are connected by blood and have been for years...... even when y'all played other teams, I heard people from MT saying we are cheering for them because a win on our side makes our conference stronger or because they went to high school with a player's parent or grandparent. Some of these kids from this year's team played together on a summer league team, which was founded by a guy from MT. The MT kids embraced Taylor, Joplin, and Buchanan.
So to say that MT has never cheered for their rivals is incorrect...... But how many times have you cheered FOR MT..... not the past 2-3 years but when y'all had the Maddens, the Monks, AJ???? You don't have to respond.... Go Big Blue
