I'm betting Arkadelphia wins 38-27

No doubt this is tough for the Badgers but I can't wait. See you guys next week.

 Arkadelphia is proving to be a great team, but I am not sure I have ever picked against Warren. I am not starting now.... Jacks win 28-21

I'll just beat the Warren posters to it, I hope us Arkadelphia fans can find the open gates to the stadium.

Last meeting in'13?

Arkadelphia is a great team but I don't think they have the horses to hang with the Jacks. They couldn't stop the wildcat against Robinson and Treylon Burks runs it to perfection.

Not having Hatley was a huge factor in that Robinson/Arky matchup. They're healthy now. It'll be a great game

Hard for me to pick against the champs, but Warren has the best player in the state regardless of classification... and they've been there/done that. Arky is still a young team. Both teams are very good and big in the trenches and have good sideline to sideline speed.

Hope this one is televised so I can record it. Won't be able to make it down due to working a bball tourney in PR.

Best of luck to both squads and congrats on making it to the Rock. I've felt like these were the two best teams from start to finish.

I know this isn't welcomed here typically but i just think this, take it or leave it: Arky vs. Robinson was close without their best player. 21-17. Then Robinson just played a great game against Warren...i think it'll be close. Let's hope the Badger fans make it through the gate and that AirWarren wears a shirt with his name on it so we know it's him!

Without Hatley Arky managed 95 yards and lost even though their defense forced 5 turnovers. Warren doesn't turn the ball over.

even without hatley and 95 yards total, robinson won in the final minute of the 4th, literally. Dont fool yourself because yall lost 😂  robinson would of finished 2nd in conference if hatley played.

I picked Arky to win over Robinson earlier this year.  I'd probably pick Arky again if they played round 2,  JMO. None of that matters though.  Warren has some studs and championship caliber coaching.  Tossup game for me.

I actually had these two picked to get to the Final before the year started. Arky is playing some good football right now, too. Should be a great one, but I rarely ever pick against Bo. Gotta go with the Jacks to finish the job.

Going to be another tough game this week for both teams. Both are playing good ball at the right time of the year.

Expecting a competitive game. I think the advantage goes to Warren if this turns into a passing/high scoring game. Arkadelphia has looked out of sync at time with turnovers and foolish penalties, but they definitely capitalize off momentum. The Southside game was close in the fourth and ended up being a blowout. Kicking could also be a factor. Arkadelphia has a very talented kicker/punter. Arkadelphia will face it's toughest challenge of the year, but I'm taking Arkadelphia in an upset over the defending champs 35-28.

From my record, this should be at least the fifth meeting between Warren and Arkadelphia. Warren and Arkadelphia played each other from 1964-1967. Warren won in 1964 and 1967 (33-18). Arkadelphia beat us in 1966 (20-19). I don't know what the score was in 1965. Warren beat Arkadelphia in 2013 31-24. A victory on Saturday would be Bo Hembree's 190th coaching win.

I'd like to see Arkadelphia win but it's too hard to go against Bo and the Jacks in this one.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. It'll be pretty reasonable and I think Warren will prove, once again, next Saturday why they are the top program in 4A. Much respect for Arkadelphia, but Warren will make an example of them in this title game.

So to acknowledge that another team may have a chance of winning you feel as though your team isn't getting the respect they deserve? I think Warren is WIDELY respected for what they've accomplished over the years. Probably envied by some. Maybe it's you that's just a little insecure?

arky won 35-0. Arky averaged a mercy rule through the seaon and playoffs can warren say the same? Warren lost to lrc, barely beat an average watson chapel, let dumas put up 24 on you, let hamburg put up 20. Warren can score but your defense will be your downfall. I dont know how you dont see it

Yes as a conference the 7-4A is the best, and yes the 8-4A is weak, but everyone knows how good Warren is. I don't know who the everybody is that picks Warren to lose but I think that's more of a hope they lose than really thinking they will lose. Warren is the team that everybody hates because they just win. Hopefully the "body" will have enough fight in it to take down the little ole poor Lumberjacks.

The starting defense in conference gave up five scores.  FIVE.  Dumas scored three times against our defense, Hamburg once and Dollarway once because our offense fumbled inside the Warren 15 yard line late in the 2nd quarter.  You don't even want to compare our non-conference schedule with Arkadelphia's because it's no comparison.  If Warren played the jokes the Badgers did in non-conference I'm more than confident that our defense would be able to have similar success.  Don't fault Warren for playing real competition--it'd be nice to see some other programs try to do that.

As for averaging a mercy rule throughout the season, we didn't quite achieve that.  But we have outscored our opponents by an average of 39-15.  So, I'll take an average victory of 24 ppg any day of the week.  We did mercy rule 9 straight opponents from Week 4 through the 2nd round, so we're doing alright. 

You just see a score and make assumptions, and you know where that will get you.  Warren's starting defense is VERY good, the 2nd and 3rd string are about average.  In the Hamburg game for instance, you realize there were some elevated freshmen playing on the defensive side of the ball in the second half with the majority of those points were scored.  But by all means, keep believing that Warren can't play defense.  The Badgers will find out first hand on Saturday just what the Lumberjack defense is capable of. 

I mean, I could say y'all gave up 26 to an Ashdown team that was missing Hill, and I believe Bishop as well.....so see, you can flip that both ways.  It's all fluff and message board banter.  The teams will decide it on the field and Warren has the best player in the state of Arkansas suiting up for them.  I think Bo, the coaching staff and fellow players like their odds in this one.

Our non conference opponent record was 25-9. All teams made it to the playoffs.

Your nonconference was 9-23. One team made playoffs.

they actually are even without zion arky was winning the game until the last minute of the 4th. Kept robinson to 14 the entire game. You wouldnt know unless you were at the game.

Agreed, without looking at schedules i would say they both had 3 or 4 tough opponents during the regular season.

ARKY:I believe Arky comes out and runs the ball down Warrens throat the first half like they did at Pea Ridge. Zion Hatley rushed for 176 yards 5 tds on 22 carries and Cannon Turner rushed for 130 yards on 22 carries against pea ridge. Arky also only passed 8 times completing 6 for 92 yards. I think arky's defense is one of the best and will looking to stop Treylon Burks which I don't believe will happen I think Burk's will be productive all night.

WARREN:I think Warren will come out and have balanced play calling letting Burks run and Kinnard slinging the rock. I think Warren will have a couple struggles with Arky's defense but I see Warren putting together 3 to 4 touchdowns. Warrens Defense will ultimately be trying to stop the run and force Arky to throw to Warrens talented secondary.

This game will be close and fun to watch cant wait!

I don't think the banter is that bad. It's not even Tuesday or Wednesday. That's the days it'll be crazy. Then as time gets closer to the game, it'll calm back down.

The key to this game will be the same as the Robinson game. Can Arkadelphia effectively slow down Warren's wildcat package with Burks? If not, they'll lose, plain and simple. Robinson slowed it enough to potentially win, but 4 trips inside the 20 in the first half with only 7 points got them beat last Friday. Too many unforced errors (penalties) and turnovers for Joe T. That said, they were still one play away from winning.

The Badgers QB is better than Robinson's IMO, a much better runner for sure and that's something that Warren didn't have to account for with Tackett. RB Hatley is more shifty and probably faster than Ceazar, but certainly not as strong in traffic and open field. This will provide a different challenge for the Lumberjack defense. And they also had few late injuries in the game Friday night that may linger.

The Badgers defense is really good and they seem to have a knack for causing turnovers. They will need to cause some in order to win this game. I'm not sure they have the size up front to stop Warren though.

I'm going with Warren to win this one by a couple scores. I'd like to see Arkadelphia win however since it's been 30 years since they've won a title, but I don't think they get it done.

I will go with Warren in this game.  Just for the reason of experience in the big game.  I see this over and over in the playoffs.  If the teams look even the coaching and player experience just seems to come out on top.

Mostly running the ball, they had one deep pass completion that I remember. Everything else was short stuff.

^ The dropped pass in the end zone over the middle behind the linebacker was a well-thrown ball.  That ended up being a big play because I think Robinson turned the ball over on downs that series inside the red zone.

Yes it was, should've been a TD. That was one of the missed opportunities in the first half. But that interception inside their own 15 earlier in the qtr really hurt.

Warren did call a time out, but I don't believe that would have allowed Burks to come back.  I don't think a coach can get the player back in that way.

I think Robinson set that fire behind their School to hope to give them an advantage with all the smoke. But what they didn't know, these boys grew up in the logging woods where timber is being cut and burned. That burning timber smoke was fuel. :D

What an awesome match-up.  2 best teams in 4A with 2 best players in Burks an Hatley.  I think it will be close, but I am giving the edge to Warren.  But, should be a great game!

It was single coverage and the wr pushed off to make the reception.  Heck of a catch though.  The db was right there and the wr used BOTH hands to push off to create separation.  It would have been hard to see from the Robinson side of the field but was clear as day from the other side just due to the viewing angle.  The ref that threw the flag had a clear view of the infraction.  Surprised it was called because you see receivers do it all the time and get away with it most of the time.  Calls evened out during the game.  Robinson flagged more in the first half, refs made up the difference calling fouls  on Warren the second half and overlooking fouls on Robinson the second half.  All you have to do is watch the illegal chop block that injured a Warren defender on the first play of the  second half.  Robinson had  their chance to win  in overtime and Warren made the big  play on the goal line.  Like many said on here, Burks would be the difference in the game and he made the game saving tackle in overtime.

Coach Eskola owes that injured kid an apology.  Teaching, or even just allowing kids to chop block repeatedly should be addressed by the AAA.  Watch the film.  It happened over and over again---and by multiple Robinson players.  Makes you wonder if it wasn't taught. Probably just ended the kid's career.

Unfortunately, those types of blocks are still allowed in certain situations, unless the rule has been changed.  Option teams chop block every play, which is why teams hate playing Georgia Tech, the Citadel, etc.  Now, if the defensive player was already engaged, that's a different story and it should be flagged every time.  Sorry to hear the young man is injured, and hopefully he can recover.

That's the thing that struck me when I rewatched the game. He was already engaged with one block. Then the chop block happened.

Unless it was by accident and it was a missed assignment and one player blocked the wrong guy, then I can understand it.

Chop blocks are not allowed in ANY situations period.  Cut blocks and chop blocks are entirely different.  All you have to do is watch the first play of the second half and you can clearly see the right guard engaged with the defender while the right tackle dives into his legs.  It wasn't even a legal cut block.  The right tackle was NEVER in front of the defender but crashing down at his knees from the side.  Should have been flagged all night but this ref crew totally ignored it.  Incompetence at best from the officiating crew.  Their number one job is to insure player safety in making sure the players are abiding by the rules of the game.  One crew member is charged with watching the blocking of the offensive line.  Not ONE SINGLE call all night for chop blocking or illegal cut blocking.   IMO blocking below the waist should be outlawed entirely.  There is no reason in this day and age to continue a practice that creates unnecessary knee injuries in the players.  Eliminate the cut blocks and you will see a drastic decrease in lower leg injuries to football players.

Not sure I agree totally with this comment, the college and professional game allow cut blocks and it is not causing anymore injury.  The knee injury that happens the most often is from the "High/Low" block you are referring to as a chop block I believe.  That is outlawed at all levels and is rarely called, that is just a poor point of emphasis by officials at the High school level. But again your not dealing with professional or highly trained officials at the High School level, usually. If you try to outlaw a cut block then you would also have to outlaw leg tackling, as it basically the same thing

Good point - I miss-stated in my previous post.  Cut blocks are allowed in certain situations; chop blocks are illegal, and especially so when the defender is already engaged.

Not causing injury anymore????  Alabama and Arkansas have both lost lbs due to  broken legs  from cut blocks  just the last couple years.

Perfect example of an illegal chop block.  That right tackle was diving into the knees all night long.  Wasn't right guard but center and right tackle.  Extremely dirty play.

Not a good look. If the play was going left it was unnecessary. Can only assume RT was diving to fill whole vacated by pulling guard, to prevent a filling LB from chasing down play from behind. Not sure it was intentional or coached, but definitely not legal.

That was coached.  No 2 ways around it.  I played jr. high football once, and I worked in a grocery store before.... and I can definitely tell that was coached! Surely all of you football experts can tell it's coached.  Where else would these players see this block and decide that it was an effective way to fill for a pulling guard?

please read correctly, there have also been players lost to tackling, both defensive and offensive players, are you wanting it outlawed as well?  Georgia Tech, Navy, Army, and even little ol' Harding run an offense that calls for cut blocks. All of those teams must be outlawed too?! Chop block is bad and illegal, a legal cut block is part of the game

Not going to say if a coach told his lineman to do that or not. I do know Eskola had a big especially upset last year about losing to the Jack in Warren. You could tell he didn't like us winning State last year as he commentated the game from the press box. Kinda suspicious that being down 3 scores at home, that kind of play happening shortly after halftime.
I can't tell if it is Davis that got hurt, but I've heard his knee is bad. He had surgeries, yes plural, on one of his knees last year in December, took him all the way until the start of the season to be able to get it healthy. My heart goes out to him and his parents if stupid classless coaching is to blame

Like I said doesn't look good, but still don't know if coached/intentional.
In giving the benefit of the doubt, I can see a slower/possibly overweight high school OLM diving into the open hole to create a roadblock to a filling LB; and as a result chopping the DT who was blocked into or slanting into that slot. On the other hand it could have been intentional and/or coached, don't know.

Beginning with the 2002 high school season, a block in the back will no longer be called clipping. Instead, it will be ruled as a separate foul with its own penalty of 10 yards, as opposed to 15 for clipping.

The change to Rule 9-3-5 was one of several approved by the National Federation of State High School Associations Football Rules Committee at its January meeting in San Diego. It comes after three years of experimentation in Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky.

A few rules revisions followed from the change:

• Rule 2-5-1 now defines clipping as "a block against an opponent when the initial contact is from behind, at, or below the waist, and not against a player who is a runner or pretending to be a runner."

• Rule 2-5-2 now defines blocking in the back as "a block against an opponent when the initial contact is in the opponent's back, inside the shoulders, and below the helmet and above the waist, and not against a player who is a runner or pretending to be a runner."

• Rule 2-5-3 states "clipping and/or blocking in the back shall not be called unless the official sees the initial contact. When in doubt, the contact is legal and not from the back. When the contact is ruled to be from the back, and the official has question as to the initial point of contact, it shall be ruled clipping."

Thank you for doing my research to prove yourself wrong. Please read the bold underline phrasing and you will see that it reads in both instances a block from behind and/or in the back. Therefore a legal cut block with two players facing one another is still legal and will be legal until some can ruin that rule as well

Tell me where in that video do you see the defender in front of the tackle that is cut blocking????  The guy he cut was in front of the offensive guard when the play started.  Illegal from the get go.

A legal cut block is nonexistent from the 2 year old rule that is in place.  The only way possible for a "legal cut block" to happen is head up (so yes, I concede to "youhavenoidea" that I am wrong by technical rule).  Man on man, and if the defender is lower than the man across from him in the trenches, then a legal cut block can not happen.  The ref SHOULD call a penalty 99.9% of the time when there is a block below the waist.  A "legal cut block" is unnecessary and the only time that it is used in a game is in the above linked scenario that is now illegal even if the Robinson center is not part of the block.  The tackle still "clips" the defender....in which case is still illegal...... and I'm still correct in practice that there is no legal cut block because in the parameters of the game, even if a legal cut block is attempted, it will be illegal in execution.

Could be wrong; but I think the block is legal within the tackles, and as long as the defender isn't already engaged with another blocker.

Booing the refs as they walk off the field for halftime, hearing parents cuss bauxite players from the stands, players standing up jumping around like animals as a Bauxite player laid on the ground hurt and your team didn't take a knee, the Arkadelphia fans clapping and yelling like a bunch of Baboons as their band walked out on the field and being disrespectful to the opposing team's mini cheerleaders performance because they were mad their little band didn't get enough time to show everyone that overrated performance, and the band lady who was looking for the "sheriff" to complain about Bauxite's mini cheerleaders taking up too much time and not allowing the band to perform and she wanted "answers", Arkadelphia fans being disrespectful on Warren's side of the field in 2013 and so on and so on and so on. I don't do social media like facebook, but I have been told that now we got a flood of Arkadelphia lunatics flooding the Warren school page with their BS. Now I understand the confusion, you're calling that block in that video a cut block and it is not.  That is an illegal chop block or High/Low block.  Cut Blocks are completely different.  Many high school programs in this state practice legal cut blocks as part of their offense, and it is similar to a tackle below the waist into the legs, without grabbing the legs..even though some do and that is a different topic

If it was only a cut block it still would have been illegal.  The defender has to be head up or in front of the offensive player for you to cut block him.  The defender was head up on the offensive guard to the tackles left.  The only way he could have legally cut blocked him was to have moved over in FRONT of him and THEN initiate the cut block.  The cut block was initiated from the side from the get go.  That tackle did that ALL NIGHT long with not a single flag thrown.

My question to the Badger fans.  I saw where you start 5 seniors on the offensive line.  What kind of size on the lines do you have on both sides of the ball?  It was also mentioned that when Robinson went to the wildcat with Cesar Warren running the ball that Arkadelphia had some trouble stopping that.  Was that true?  Only asking because I feel Arkadelphia will see a heavy dose of the wildcat package if they have trouble stopping it or slowing it down.   I also wondered how Warren's size on the defensive line would match up with Arkadelphia's oline.   Warren's starting defensive front has been very effective in stopping running teams or slowing them down effectively.  Not sure how effective Arkadelphia's run game will be against this defense.  I just don't see Arkadelphia putting up more points than Robinson did on this defense but you never know.

Hembrees conservative play calling in the first drive of the second half for warren put warren in a funk, and let robinson get back in it.  Warrens foot was on Joe T's foot, and they let off enough instead of putting them away.  I believe this final to be close as surely arkie will be more disciplined then robinson was, and with all in the game, arkie is better than Robinson.  Warren in a close one, 38-35 final.

I've been to many, many Arkadelphia games and most of this years games; and I can guarantee that most of what you just stated is a straight up lie or at best well overstated. I can think of two fan bases that have expressed this type of opinion of Arkadelphia; Warren & Nashville, each of which seems to have an over inflated opinion of themselves. Sorry to disappoint you, but we do actually expect to compete (at worst) and win (at best) most if not all games we participate in; otherwise why play. Just to address a few of your statements:

Generally speaking we are small, not sure we were bigger than anybody we played this year.
Offensive line has decent size. Defensive line is average size, at best, but very quick and fast. Both sides are very physical.
I'd say that in the second half of the JTR game, JTR's line began to wear down our defensive line. With that said, JTR only scored twice in the second half, and one was on a double pass that went for 50+ in the final 2 minutes.

Speaking of fake news.
Aren't you in the band, if so, you didn't have a good view of that play from your seat. Both players were hand fighting so to speak; defender trying to grab/tackle and the offensive player trying to elude/escape. The play was flagged for late hit (even though the whistle had not yet blown), I guess. If punches had been thrown, the offender would have been ejected from the game. The play was flagged (unnecessarily IMO), so I can only assume if the ref saw a punch he would have also ejected that player, whether it was our player or yours. Honestly, from our side (from across the field), it looked like the PR player was slapping at the Badger's head. I have no doubt in my mind that if either player threw a punch they would have been ejected, those refs had a quick trigger.

You've gone all the way to the Jr. High board to find me complaining about officiating in the Arkadelphia/Nashville 9th grade game. Maybe so. I know Arkadelphia got that penalty a few years back. Needless to say, we have a 20 min half at home.
At PR last Friday, they put 15 min on the clock at halftime. I don't believe the second half started immediately after those 15 min.

That is literally my biggest gripe with the sport of football is the length of halftime.... I understand the band plays and other festivities go on. But college is the worst. It's insane how long it can be. High school's is pretty long too. I think NFL's is actually incredibly short compared to college cause I always hear them talking about how hard it is for Super Bowl teams at halftime cause its 3 times longer than normal and they almost get completely out of the flow of the game.

And not that it matters now but just for some clarification. Arkadelphia's AD  knew that the Bauxite halftime stuff was going to run long, they agreed on it before the game that's why there was no penalty.  So there's that. AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THAT'S BROUGHT UP.

That is why I tried to be delicate in my post at the bottom of the previous page when I was complaining about the length of halftimes in the sport of football.... I have to remember that its not all about the players in the game. There are plenty of parents there just for their kid who may be a cheerleader or band member and their presence in the stands adds to the atmosphere just the same as a parent of a kid who plays on the team.

First of all congrats to both teams for making it to the final round. Arkadelphia is a great team that I'm sure will battle warren down to the last second...but I think experience and leadership will play a vital role in the outcome.

Bo has taught his guys how to think like champions, play like champions and most of all...how to BE CHAMPIONS. I'll be there to witness what I hope to be a great game for the fans. Best of luck to both teams but I think Warren will come out on top! 35-21 good luck jacks! The 8-4A is behind you guys!!

I think someone has mentioned this already, but fully half the fans at most football games are band, cheerleader or pep squad parents, grandparents, and other relatives.  Lots of revenue there.  So a few minutes past is no big deal.  I remember when Arkadelphia Coach John Outlaw, in a playoff game at HSU was told he needed to get the band off the field or he would be penalized.  He said, " Let the band play".  He was always appreciative of the band and their parents.  Of course he went on the win the state championship that year, 1987. lol

We went into a more prevent defense way too early last week. While the coaching staff may disagree.....and I wouldn't be surprised if they did because we are what we are...talking heads on a message board......it appeared we took the foot off the neck a little too early.

We got the win so it's all good. Coach found a weakness and exploited it. Like always.

Didn't see the game so don't know the circumstances, but with a pretty big lead I can see wanting to make them grind it out (eat clock), and try to prevent any big play quick scores. I assume the offensive plan probably stayed the same.

Nobodys giving these two teams the credit they deserve. Congrats warren and arky. I look for a great game come saturday, but im going with my badgers by 10. Nobodys scored over 4 tds on arky all season.

True. I tend to take a more pessimistic approach; I fear we'll struggle to stop the direct snap to Burks, and I'm worried about us being able to have success on offense unless we can open up some running lanes by successfully passing the ball. My hope is that Burks is just as important to their defense as he is their offense, which should limit some of his production/use in the direct snap. We tend to start slow offensively, but once we find that groove we score in bunches; hope we can keep it close until that happens. Warren has only given up more than 2 scores in 4 of their 14 games thus far (same as the Badgers), so both teams defenses appear to be pretty stout. Hopefully if it's not a blowout in favor of the Badgers (which I doubt), we can at least keep it close.

Burks is gonna get his yards.  Can't wait to see Bo's version of the wing-t, with him at fullback.  The kids are really excited to run that.

Not entirely true. Both teams have been in the top 5 all season. Think besides JRT and Pea Ridge, Arky and Warren are the two teams nobody wanted to face. Most guys on here are just being the way they are because there is a huge excitement about this game and it's just coming out in slightly non productive ways. Have a feeling as far as 4a football goes, this game will not disappoint.

Last year Warren went on a Wednesday so didn't know if it was these this year.

Bo is good at quick adjusting the defense and the exploiting weakness on offense. Not sure how well Eldridge is on that note. Arky has a stingy defense no doubt but can it adjust quickly to Burks and company. I like this as the title game. I give Warren the edge based mostly on Hembree's ability to coach teams to victory. Probably the best game in the state no matter classification.

Badgers are very good defensively at making on game adjustments. Offensively, they run alot of different formations, but they are what they are on offense. Haven't really had to throw much in playoffs to win. Be interesting to see if they will if forced.

I'm not talking about criminals per se, just in general I think you'll be more happy and lead a better life if you don't judge other people or look down on someone just because of what they look like or where they come from.

Or maybe just don't worry about what someone is doing or how they live if what they're doing is not effecting you in any way. Folks are too quick to judge these days when they don't know all the facts or what someone's been through in their life.

People shouldn't make assumptions about how they act on a message board vs real life. This is a hobby for me. Not a lifestyle. I can tell you I'm nothing like this on here. 

Here's the thing, I don't worry about what or how people live. Not my bed. Not my business. Nor do I push my beliefs on anyone. But if I have to sit back and listen to beliefs that I don't agree with, then by golly get ready to hear mine. That's tolerance. Two way street. I can either agree or disagree. Pea Ridge was a night game. Warren/Pea Ridge was a Friday game. Hampton/Mount Ida was at noon.

Last year when we played was cold. Was in the high 20's at game time.

Hey, why pay a light bill when you don't have to?  Seriously, the 12:00 time has been scheduled for a while, and many people have arranged their personal schedule to fit it.  So, even though many would love it, much flak would be raised by changing it.  I personally would rather have a day game.  It is supposed to be below freezing that night.  The visitors side (Arkadelphia's) will be in the sunlight for the day game and Warren's fans will be freezing, in the shade of the pressbox, so there's that.lol Maybe it will keep their cheering down.lol

Football is life in warren. They are excited for every game.. lol

All you have to do is watch the last play of the Joe T Robinson game to see how excited Warren is.  It never gets old playing for a state title.  The town and kids know you are one loss away from sitting at home and watching someone else play for the title.  Warren may not be as excited as Arkadelphia because of how long it has been since you last played for a state title, but they are excited and I expect a big crowd from Warren to be there Saturday. 

That's great news. Can't beat this for bringing everyone together.

That thread just reminded me why I hold Arkadelphia fans in the same regard as Hamburg.

Just watched the Robinson/Warren game.  Robinson shot themselves in the foot with penalties and turnovers. If the Badgers lose Saturday number 7 will be the reason.  Wasnt impressed with 13 in that game.

You guys knew I couldn't take the whole week off, I had to chime in before the big game on Saturday.  Last week was one for the books to be sure.  I'd say it was one of the Top 5 most important games of Bo's career.  Not because he had anything to prove, certainly not--he is the standard the rest of the 4A coaches are comparing themselves to and one of the top coaches in all of Arkansas.  I deem it important because it had the chance to maybe show some slippage.  Could Bo finally lose a semi-final game, would it happen?  He was 6-0 in the semi-finals, but I'd venture to say Robinson represented the toughest semi-final opponent he's faced in his career and with the game being AT their place, you almost had that feeling that "could this be it".....  Of course, we all saw how it played out.  Bo had his boys poised and ready for the environment, came out fighting in the first half, built a lead but he did seem to get complacent in the 2nd half in regards to play calling.  I think he felt if he could just generate some first downs, he'd be able to milk off the clock but his plan nearly back fired on him.  Could've won it at the gun with the field goal but I was so impressed how he kept his team TOGETHER.  A lot of team, under that same pressure, would've cracked.  They would have turned on one another, started finger pointing and wouldn't have been able to pull together, score first in OT and stuff Robinson 4 straight times from the 10 yard line.  With a team as explosive as Robinson, getting that stop is huge! I think that win, along with a win on Saturday obviously, just continues the choke hold he has on this classification.

Arkadelphia is a very talented football team.  This will be one of the better championship game opponents that Warren has faced.  This team, much like Pulaski Robinson, will be able to match-up with the Jacks athletically.  They have the size, speed, and ability to go toe-for-toe with Warren.  Looking over past championship game opponents, I can only think of of two other teams that, once we reached the title game, I really THOUGHT could have a legitimate shot to beat Warren: 2001 Booneville and 2006 Nashville.  The 2013 Booneville team did beat Warren, but they got some help from Mother Nature in that one.  In my opinion, that game should have been delayed and finished the following day after the 2nd or 3rd extended rain delay, but that's for another day.  Defensively, these Badgers are about as good as it gets in the 4A.  They've shut out four opponents and held three others to a touchdown or less.  They played Robinson better defensively than Warren did last week and in all reality, should have won that game.  That win last week was VERY impressive.  Pea Ridge was a good team folks and the Badgers went TO them and beat the brakes off of a very senior driven football team.  That's very impressive.  Offensively they've certainly hit their stride having Hatley back.  With over 1,600 yards and 34 scores, the guy is to Arkadelphia what Burks is to Warren.  He's the engine that makes them go.  Seeing that their offensive is averaging 51ppg in the play-offs certainly raises an eyebrow.  This is a complete team--no two way starters and good coaching.  I know that Coach Eldridge and his staff have been waiting for this one since that Quarter-final match-up in 2013.  The coaches, team and fans left Warren with a very bitter taste in their mouth that night and would love nothing more than to steal one away from them in the title game.

For Warren, my gracious.  What more can you say.  Another play-off gauntlet and here we are again, heading to another title game.  The Lumberjack's 4th in 5 seasons.  What Warren, a small town in a dying Southeast Arkansas region is able to accomplish season after season is a testament to two things: the community support of this program and the outstanding coaching we have.  Bo, as he's aged, has gotten wiser and has mastered the ability to squeeze the most he can out of what he has.  Warren very rarely has more depth than their opponents but they are able to make up for it with unbelievable athletic ability and outstanding coaching.  As I mentioned above, last week at Robinson was a prime example.  They had more players make bigger plays when needed and their coaching made the right decisions at the right time to get that win.  It was exceptionally sweet to watch it unfold.  There have been some on here who have asked if this is "ho-hum" for Warren, another title game, another trip to WMS.  Have the Lumberjacks begun to take it for granted....  I think LAfootball Fan said it best--go watch the final play of the Robinson game and tell me if you didn't see pure joy and jubilation from the Warren sideline and stands.  This stuff still means everything to this town--we live for football season each and every season because we know the product that takes the field will be championship caliber.  This will be a tremendous test for Warren but as we saw last week, the Jacks are more than just Burks.  McKnight is a very special athlete as well and will likely be the difference in this game as well.  When Burks is getting covered up and swarmed over, McKnight has a knack for making the big play.  We got battered and bruised against Robinson, and that gives me a bit of pause when looking to Arkadelphia.  This will be another smash mouth, physical ballgame and I do worry about our overall health.  We saw A LOT of guys leave the field with help last weekend, but fortunately, from all reports, I believe most of the injuries weren't serious enough to keep them off the field Saturday. 

I think this game comes down to a few things: coaching, defensive front sevens, and special teams.  Coaching the edge goes to Warren for all the reasons listed above.  Defensive front seven, I'd still give an edge to Warren, but ever so slightly as the Jacks will be without some offensive lineman Saturday and the Badgers are solid up front.  Warren has the bigger defensive line this week though, unlike last week, and they're healthy, or as healthy as you can expect at this point.  So I think they'll have success containing Hatley.  They likely won't stop him, he'll get his yards, but if they can contain the explosive plays, make him EARN it--like they did with Robinson.  Special teams, as is so often the case in title games, will be huge.  Warren needs the kicking game to be on point.  Put the kick-offs IN THE ENDZONE, but the ball through the uprights on extra points and any FG if needed.  I think Warren is the better team, the overall more athletic team, better coaching and you can never discount the "been here before" component as well.  The Arkadelphia team has EARNED their spot in this game though.  They deserve our respect and have earned mine.  Passionate fan base who will be doing all they can to will their team to the title.  In the end, I think Warren will make the plays down the stretch of this game to put it away.  I think we'll see a fast start from Warren, Arkadelphia claw back in before halftime, fairly even 3rd quarter but the Jacks will make the plays offensively and force some costly mistakes in the 4th to put some distance between them and the Badgers.

Bo claims title #5, improves to 5-2 in state title games and further tightens the grip the Lumberjacks have on Class 4A.  Warren takes one more step towards a three-peat this Saturday.  Arkadelphia finishes with a great season and looks to build on their successes next season.

As for the 3-peat comments, obviously, I'm not an idiot, in order to do that, we have to win the game on Saturday.  If Warren does, which I believe they will, then I think they stand a pretty solid chance of pulling in a 3-peat.  They'll return their best offensive players, a good portion of their defense and some of the injuries we've sustained on the offensive line have been seniors so it's allowed the underclassmen to get some big time, in game experience.  Plus, Burks will be another year older, bigger and who knows, maybe faster.  Most of the teams that were/could have been competitive with the Jacks THIS season were senior laden teams so that opens the door even wider for Warren next season.

But alas, for right now, it's all about the Badgers.  Can't wait to see what Bo cooks up for them tomorrow!

I've enjoyed reading all the banter on here. I would like to congratulate both teams because getting here didn't start in October. It takes a lot of hard work and a little bit of luck to be playing in the final game of the season.  Hats off to the players, coaches and fan bases. I'm hoping for a competitive, injury free game. I'm just happy that we can't win the game for these boys posting on here. For all that they gave us throughout the season, we would be letting them down. Have fun Jack and Badger fans. Enjoy this as long as you can because it'll be over before we know it.

And when I said it takes a little bit of luck to get here, I meant y'all are lucky the Badgers didn't win the 7-4a or y'all season would have ended last week.

Haven't said much on here this year because I have just been watching and paying attention to all the banter, I know for a fact it will be a good game for both teams Arky is tough maybe just as tough as Joe T they will let it all hang out Saturday and so will Warren with being said I pray that both teams stay healthy and play good clean football. Looking forward to all the fans and excitement should be epic, I know a lot of people don't  want Warren to win and are against them but that's why they play the game.We are out manned and out gunned but I do know this we will fight to the last play.

With a win tomorrow, there is not a doubt in my mind that Warren will win 3 in a row.  And it would be well deserved to.  I definitely am a Warren supporter and will be rooting for y'all this weekend.  Pretty impressive fun to say the least

I think that win, along with a win on Saturday obviously, just continues the choke hold he has on this classification.

Arkadelphia is a very talented football team.  This will be one of the better championship game opponents that Warren has faced.  This team, much like Pulaski Robinson, will be able to match-up with the Jacks athletically.  They have the size, speed, and ability to go toe-for-toe with Warren.  Looking over past championship game opponents, I can only think of of two other teams that, once we reached the title game, I really THOUGHT could have a legitimate shot to beat Warren: 2001 Booneville and 2006 Nashville.  The 2013 Booneville team did beat Warren, but they got some help from Mother Nature in that one.  In my opinion, that game should have been delayed and finished the following day after the 2nd or 3rd extended rain delay, but that's for another day.  Defensively, these Badgers are about as good as it gets in the 4A.  They've shut out four opponents and held three others to a touchdown or less.  They played Robinson better defensively than Warren did last week and in all reality, should have won that game.  That win last week was VERY impressive.  Pea Ridge was a good team folks and the Badgers went TO them and beat the brakes off of a very senior driven football team.  That's very impressive.  Offensively they've certainly hit their stride having Hatley back.  With over 1,600 yards and 34 scores, the guy is to Arkadelphia what Burks is to Warren.  He's the engine that makes them go.  Seeing that their offensive is averaging 51ppg in the play-offs certainly raises an eyebrow.  This is a complete team--no two way starters and good coaching.  I know that Coach Eldridge and his staff have been waiting for this one since that Quarter-final match-up in 2013.  The coaches, team and fans left Warren with a very bitter taste in their mouth that night and would love nothing more than to steal one away from them in the title game.

For Warren, my gracious.  What more can you say.  Another play-off gauntlet and here we are again, heading to another title game.  The Lumberjack's 4th in 5 seasons.  What Warren, a small town in a dying Southeast Arkansas region is able to accomplish season after season is a testament to two things: the community support of this program and the outstanding coaching we have.  Bo, as he's aged, has gotten wiser and has mastered the ability to squeeze the most he can out of what he has.  Warren very rarely has more depth than their opponents but they are able to make up for it with unbelievable athletic ability and outstanding coaching.  As I mentioned above, last week at Robinson was a prime example.  They had more players make bigger plays when needed and their coaching made the right decisions at the right time to get that win.  It was exceptionally sweet to watch it unfold.  There have been some on here who have asked if this is "ho-hum" for Warren, another title game, another trip to WMS.  Have the Lumberjacks begun to take it for granted....  I think LAfootball Fan said it best--go watch the final play of the Robinson game and tell me if you didn't see pure joy and jubilation from the Warren sideline and stands.  This stuff still means everything to this town--we live for football season each and every season because we know the product that takes the field will be championship caliber.  This will be a tremendous test for Warren but as we saw last week, the Jacks are more than just Burks.  McKnight is a very special athlete as well and will likely be the difference in this game as well.  When Burks is getting covered up and swarmed over, McKnight has a knack for making the big play.  We got battered and bruised against Robinson, and that gives me a bit of pause when looking to Arkadelphia.  This will be another smash mouth, physical ballgame and I do worry about our overall health.  We saw A LOT of guys leave the field with help last weekend, but fortunately, from all reports, I believe most of the injuries weren't serious enough to keep them off the field Saturday.

nice assessment but nobodys kept arky (with hatley) under 35 all season and nobodys scored more than 4 tds on arky. During the robinson v warren game, robinson kept warren scoreless the entire second half. The only td from warren came in overtime and was the gane winner. Warren let robinson score 28 unasnwered points, you cant do that with arky theyll run up the scoreboard quick. On another note pea ridge came out last week in a different formation that they havent ran all year and it only took arky 2 drives to adjust and cover what they were running, 6 mins off the scoreboard later arky was up 28-10. Arky defense is alot better than Robinson's and our coaching staff is too. Warren is more physical than robinson but i see arky kicking up the tempo again and wearing warren down come late 3rd. Warren will need to have some long time consuming drives and hope arky makes some costly mistakes to win this game.

I've said this since week one. If you want to beat warren you have to have a legit passing attack or an elite athlete at qb. Warrens two losses the past three years have been by that formula. Snell for Nashville and Hill at LRC. I look for warren to get in the elephant package early and often. Arkadelphia couldn't stop the last legit team they faced in that formula.

Turner can run and throw.. Hes very young still in his sophomore year, he has the tendency to overthrow his open receivers at times but he can throw. He has a arm and accuracy to complete the deep ball. Arkadelphia offense actually blocks very well and follows assignments to create big plays.

Don't know your definition of elite athlete, but C Turner is 6'/185, and runs a legitimate low 4.6. We don't pass a lot, but Turner is definitely capable; strong arm, pretty accurate. By the way, Hatley is the same size and runs a tad faster. Which provides a pretty potent duo in the read option.

After watching the Warren vs Robinson game I'd say a good rushing attack could hurt the Jacks.  I'm saying that and I'm a Jacks fan...but I still hope the Jacks shape that up and dump on those short legged omnivores...dump out

No. But we manage more than 95 yards of offense.. lol

l know McKnight had one td last week running the ball so Burks could have only scored 4.  Robinson scored 21 unanswered after Warren had scored 21 unanswered.  Warren had 1 td taken off the board in the second half and only got stopped on the previous drive because Burks had to sit out the 4 and 1 play.  If he is in there, Warren makes the 1st down and finishes the drive for a td.

Burks was behind the Robinson defense twice in the first half if the qb could have thrown an accurate ball.  Looking at Arkadelphia's offense they only scored 14 on Robinson while Warren put up 35 and could easily have had 3 more tds.  I will allow that Hatley was out so that did limit your offense.  You have to remember Warren scored on Robinson with their normal offense with Burks as WR along with him at wildcat.  Arkadelphia's secondary will be tested Saturday along with their front seven on defense. 

Both teams are here for a reason.  They are the two best teams left in 4A.   I look for Arkadelphia to play a few players both ways this week in crunch time situations.   Arkadelphia got a big break with the injury to one of Warrens best lineman on an illegal chop block.   That injury puts even more stress on the rest of the players playing two ways in reducing the amount of rest they will get Saturday.   Arkadelphia's best chance to win is to hang close til the second half and hope their depth starts paying dividends and they can take advantage of some defensive players wearing down.

You know what the most satisfying thing about all of this is?  The fact that not a single dang one of us will have any impact on tomorrow's game.  Not a single one of us.

I'm glad it will be determined by the players and coaches on the field and sidelines.  I think it's safe to say Arkadelphia fans favor the Badgers, Warren fans favor the Jacks.  24 hours from now we'll have a better understanding of which team wants it more as we'll be well into the 2nd half. 

I hope we get treated to a fun, action packed and CLEAN football game.  May the best team win, my hope is that it's Warren.

+1 , i respect warrens football program, year and year out warren always shapes a great football team and most of the time i pick them to win even against robinson last week lol.. But i got to go with my badgers in this game. Their defense will win them this game.

Do I consider him to be an elite passer? Not at this point, but he is just a sophomore. But, that wasn't your only criteria for success; you said "legit passing attack" or an "elite athlete" at QB. I told you who i considered to be elite at least for who warren has played over the years at the qb position. And both of them led their teams to victories over Warren.

Once again I think this will be a very good game. Could go either way just like the game against Robinson. I stated that i think the best way to beat Warren was to have a legit passing game or a qb that can scramble in the backfield and find open receivers. That is what happened in the last row losses warren has had. I do think Warren will win but i believe it will be a one score game. I think Burks will have a typical game that he usually has and i think our defense will show up and create turnovers or make Arkadelphia have long drives.

I do not remember mcknight scoring. The only time i can remember is on the catch he had that got called back for a push in the back. But i could be wrong.

So, Burkes scored 4 short yard TDs, 1 to 3 yds,  and no 7 scored from about 30 yds out on a very good run, the kind i am concerned about.  Thats how Burkes scored 4 TDs with less than 100 yds offense. Warren didnt play that great, Robinson played terrible. Badgers 42 Warren 35.

Big key in the ballgame is that Arkadelphia is 5-7 on 3rd down. Key moment in the first half was Warren's fumble. You get a chance to up two scores and they end up recovering the ball to the 5 and scoring. That pretty killed all momentum for Warren and increased it big for Arkadelphia.

Wow. Listened to the last drive on the radio and it sounded CRAZY!  The fan at first did Warren a favor by stopping the clock, but backfired in the end with the penalty. I've never heard of anything like that.  Ending kinda like 2013. Warren drives the length of the field only to throw a pick to end the game.......Was that AW that ran onto the field?

Warren had their chances and blew them. Good game Arkadelphia you were the better team. This will be a long offseason for the Lumberjacks. This is now 3 state title games Warren has lost and each one of them by one point. Special teams makes and breaks football games. Warren should have gotten rid of the ball and attempted a field goal before all the fiasco happened. Whomever that fan was, he needs to pack up and move. He doesn't need to be let back into town.

Strangest ending to a game that I've ever seen.  I'm as confused as anyone.

Burks is certainly the best player on the field, but Arkadelphia earned that win for sure.  Hats off to the Badgers.  They outplayed Warren in the first half, and survived the Warren push in the 3rd quarter.  Their defense wasn't quite what they advertised BUT they made the stops when they had to. 

Congrats to Arkadelphia on their first title in 30 years.  It's so sweet to bring it home.  I hope this loss will motivate those Lumberjacks to get back and win it next season.  Feel bad for Burks, but fortunately, he'll get another crack next season.

The dip wad walked out to the middle of the field. He was tackled, cuffed, and walked out. He timed it right so the clock would stop but didn't work out in the end.

I agree,  it looked like a fumble,  but we couldn't see his knees from the replay.   The ball was out before his left arm hit the field though.  It was out before his hand even touched the field.

Completely agree.  Game is over and just like in 2006, we (Warren fan) can belly ache all we want to but the game is FINAL and Arkadelphia is the champion.  Let those coaches, players and fans enjoy this one.  I hope they party it up because they earned that win today.  They made the plays that had to be made when they needed them most.  Warren's depth showed up big time in this game.  Hope we can get a few more kids out for next fall just to give us some bodies to move around.

For the next 12 months, the Badgers are your 4A state champions and well deserved champions at that.  Warren will have to go take that crown back next season if they want it. 

Congrats again Arkadelphia.  You have every right to poke your chest out and enjoy this one.  Y'all beat a very good Warren team today!

I understand the frustration some have.  Allowing Warren to have time to line up for a kick because of the stoppage is unfair as well so....

Warren had plenty of opportunities, just didn't work out. Basically warren was outplayed and out coached.

I believe the call was correct.  Unfortunately the team is also responsible for behavior of fans if they interfere with the game.  If they did nothing then Warren would have gained an advantage from his inteference.  Looked like Warren intented to snap it, if they spiked it from the gun its a penalty. I thought I heard someone say they were not sure they could get it off and they wanted to get the kick team on.   If it ws going to be a run play then its the last of the game.
Maybe  somebody will know better in a day or so and accurately post what happened.

Warren shot their selves in the foot to often. Arkadelphia played a solid game. Crazy to think Warren out gained them pretty significantly. 2 turnovers and 13 penalties were a killer. I mentioned earlier this week if you wanna beat Warren you have to be able to pass the ball pretty well... Arkadelphia did that.congrats once again.

Its the natural progression of things when a fan base realizes their team is slipping from relevance.  Warren will be back in a title game again, probably as soon as next season.  Scrappers realize that their choke hold on the 4A has long slipped away. Luke Matheson is getting clarification with AAA, but according to him on Twitter, there's no rule that says you can penalize a team due to a fan running onto the field.

Agreed, not worth it.  I think Warren fans, especially here on Fearless, have handled this loss in a very respectable manner.  Wish Arkadelphia nothing but the best, hope to see us back in WMS again next season.  Can't help what other fans do or say, but the Lumberjacks have been solid on the board despite the madness of that ending.

We've got 4 titles and were so close on the three losses.  A play here and there and we could have 7.  For now, we'll live with this.  Hopefully make the adjustments needed this offseason, get bigger, get stronger, learn from our mistakes, and aim to be back in the title game next season.  Sun still comes up tomorrow and we'll still line it up again in late August for another run.  Good job guys--finished a play short this season.

Right but I'm just saying, if people are saying there is no precedent for throwing a flag on a fan, that's one off the top of my head that I think happened.

My wife, myself and dad walked to the other side of the stadium to get out of the shade because the Mrs. was cold. At that point, I wasn't near where he was sitting and where he came onto the field from the bleachers due to being on the other side of our side.

There has to be some kind of consequence to deter fans from doing this every game to help their team. It wasn't Warren's team's fault, but you can't let it go when it was an obvious attempt to manipulate the outcome of the game. Not sure there is a right or wrong way to handle this. It will probably be a discussion point at a future AAA rules meeting.

I think it was handled just fine and should stay as is. Bo is a little sour because the plan didn't work. He's acting like he would have been able to kick a FG without the fan running out there. As if.

My take on the game was that it was one of the best games of the year. I can't say that The game was "fair" because there were several missed penalties. I can say that Warren wouldn't have been on that big stage without 13. Warren is a decent team with a couple of great players.

If Warren, specifically Coach Hembree, has learned anything it's that you cannot leave it in the officials hands in title games. If you don't do your job for the 47 minutes and 30 seconds leading up to those final few plays you run the risk of this happening.

If Hembre has learned anything it should be that #13 should be his QB. No excuse/reason for that kid not touching the ball on every snap.

As to the refs, if a crazy person had not of came onto the field, there would have been no decision to be made. Not sure that was the perfect solution, but how do you allow a FG attempt by Warren when they didn't have time for one until the clock stopped because of the interruption. Not sure who came out better as a result, Warren with further to go, but time to call a play; or Arkadelphia who would have had to make a play against an offense scrambling to snap the ball, or defend a play with 12 seconds (too much) and an offense with a plan from further away. If the ball had not been intercepted Warren would of still had time for one more play.

I hope the Warren administrators look out for that kid. He will and should be punished, but any retaliation should be dealt with harshly.

It's such a strange situation there is no fair solution. Both teams played great... I was thoroughly entertained. Burks made be a believer.  I saw things in him I haven't seen in about 7 years.  Arkie stayed composed, the tight end had an amazing touchdown play. Both defenses had moments of greatness. Bo showed some balls on that 4th down call at the end.  That friggin punt to the one!!  I could go on and on!!  Hats off to the kids !!! They did their part on both sides.

Wonderful game. Terrible decision at the end. Them Warren boys shouldn't hang their heads. They played tough. Played with heart. Congrats to Arkadelphia after a 30 year dry spell. Burks is legit. Glad I got to see it.

I was a part of that game, and there were no flags thrown in any fans. All of the flags were for on field conduct. There is no rule that allows an official to penalize a team based on fan behavior. Yes and they threw it, not to Burk's but an Arkadelphia defender. Don't get that one. Burk's was amazing to watch.

Funny side note. I heard that the officer that tackled the kid that ran on the field at the end of the game graduated from Arkadelphia!

I've seen where officials as well as coaches from all over the state have spoken out against penalizing warren for the actions of a fan. Both teams played a great game but the ending was like nothing I have ever seen. It was tough to watch the jacks walking with their heads down after working hard to get there only to have one of their own do something so stupid.  A team should never be penalized for what their fans do. It just didn't seem fair to the team. Still proud of em tho.

I witnessed both occurrences.  Differences are one was better dressed than the other and other was non partisan

It's easy to second guess, but it seems that on the play the intruder interrupted, Burkes was going to pass to someone perhaps in the end zone or on the sideline.  It would either be a score or an incomplete pass.  Either way was okay.  Of course a score would end the game, an incompletion would stop the clock for a field goal.  Burkes got the snap with 3 seconds left, so he may have completed a pass in the end zone, but if the pass was incomplete it is doubtful there would be any time left for a field goal.  Of course he may have been sacked, the pass may have been intercepted, or incomplete.  Who knows, but there would be no way to justify any action at all.  So, it is best just to accept it.  The Badgers didn't have any fault in any of this, from the intruder to the officials.  This would have not been so big a deal if the score had a bigger difference, like 42 to 27.

#6- warren was down to last play, no way they should get a free t/o and ball at the 9 after the stoppage. That would have rewarded warren after bad clock management, and penalized Arkadelphia for something they had no control over.

I think.  His team won, he was the most valuable. IMO.

we just see it different.  I would be ok with No MVP award in team games.  For each play Cannon or Treylon made tonight they had help from others.

When the fan ran on the field there was only 3 seconds on the clock. I think less the fan it was the last play.

This game remind me so much of the 2006 Championship game that Warren lost by one point.  That one ending in controversy too.   This game was just something to see.   My MVP goes to Arkadelphia #25 Dillion Scott.  Literally, his last two plays on the Warren's drive seal the deal for Arkadelphia.  Warren's play before the fan "incident" was really confusing to me anyway.   Was #13 going to spike the football?  If so, he was in the shotgun.   I really believe that Bo just lose this one.  Bad call. Their was only 3 seconds left too.

Ok, if your saying that both teams deserved for the game to play out in a normal fashion, then I totally agree. To some Arkadelphia's win is diminished, which is unfair to the team. On the other hand, Warren leaves with the feeling of "what if", also unfair.

I personally have no problem Turner winning MVP. He had a really good game and led his team to a victory.

It really sucks that the kid ran out on the field. It was pretty obvious Warren was running a play since the ball was snapped before the whistle blew. Nobody knows what would have happened. If Burks throws the ball away the play before they kick a field goal and win the game. It was a great tackle by Scott to keep him out of the end zone or it would have been over on that play. Warren had a great season and will be back in the mix next year. The Badgers have some holes to fill to have a shot next year.

I thought that was the way to go.  After the Fan incident, they where going to kick the field goal.  That's how I thought it would end.  I really thought the penalty was on Coach Bo.  He had been on the field so much in the last drive, ( and was warn too)  I thought they finally let him have the personal foul.    I mean really! I pull stick and the coaches have to stay in the box.  The way he acted!  he should had put a helmet on.  I still think he is the reason they lost.

I just watched it again. Burks claps his hands for the snap at 4 seconds, the ball is snapped and the announcers say a fan is on the field, played is stopped with 3 seconds left. That was the last play and I agree it looks like a play was going to take place.

You guys need to quit it's done and over forget it. Can't change it and it never shou of have came down to this point.

Not that it matter and their wasn't a lot of time to process the it but before the kid ran on the field Burks could have just thrown the ball at his full backs feet and they could have got another play i believe.

Should have never been a penalty. The kid got hit fell to ground and Arkadelphia player going after Burks ran into him and they called it blocking below the knees.. another bad piece of officiating.

How many times was the Warren sideline warned about interference?  How many times did the Warren coach get into the way of the ref/bump into him?  At times he was out between the numbers.  At what point should he have been ejected from the game?  It's not just on the refs, or the typical Warren fan, Bo also had a play in this.

I didn't like that either but that coach knows that player and they have a pretty good relationship. Not an excuse for the coach, just a little insight.

Not in that situation. I don't think they were planning on it. I think it was a Tebow pass or Burks running it in.

Thanks for the congrats, it's appreciated. But, if the tables were turned I imagine you would be singing a different tune. If warren had scored in the end, I doubt you would have shown much sympathy for complaints about the blown call on the obvious warren fumble on the final drive.

I'm sure we did, and rightfully so; and y'all were sure to point out that we were airing our complaints. In fact it's been pointed out again in this thread b/4 the game. I'm just surprised to find out y'all aren't above doing the same. After all we were assured by y'all that y'all were above such pettiness.
Anyway great game, Warren was scary good, I'm sure barring injuries they'll make another run for Little Rock next year.

I'd have never never guessed warren and Nashville would have finished the same this year.

From what I've seen I'd say that Arkadelphia, Warren & Robinson are clearly the top 3, and I'm not sure I'd put any of those above the other. Luckily for us, Arkadelphia won the title, but Warren or Robinson could have just as well. Proud of those Badgers, they found a way to win in the end.

I don't have a stake in who won the game but in watching the game on the NFHS network today it's pretty clear the Warren runner fumbled and Arkadelphia recovered at about the 00:29 mark of the game. The runner was ruled down by the official.

Obviously, if called correctly AHS takes one snap, kneels, and it's over. So the "Refs stole victory from us" thing clearly swings both ways.

Obviously tho there is a difference in a missed call than calling the penalty on Warren for something they had no control over. But if Warren would of gotten the chance to kick field goal and make it then everyone would be saying the same thing that Warren is saying but Either way it was a good game

This has been rehashed several times on the other threads.  What did Warren intend to do. We can only guess until and if the Coach tells us.  But it did not look as if Burkes was going to spike it, which would have resulted in a penalty anyway. It looked to me as if he was going to run the same play as before, probably feeling he could beat Scott the next time one-on-one. If so, he may have scored which would have ended the game in Warren`s favor, or he may have been stopped again, probably with additional help this time. He received the snap at three seconds so that was going to be the last play no matter what. Clock stopped at 3 seconds, which was in Warrens favor, because they had no time outs left. Since the clock was stopped Warren now had time to formulate a plan.  They could try a field goal into the wind (this is after the 15 yards had been added) which wouldnt be smart. Or they could run at least 2 plays from the 24.  As successful as they had been all day, a 15 yard penalty and Warrens having two plays to score , was probably a bad thing for the Badgers.  Then a good thing happened for the Badgers, Warren didnt target Burke, and they threw a pic. So, it cant be said they would try a field goal to win , since that was not the plan.  They had 2 chances from the 24, we know what happened then.  So, it boils down to two bad refs opinions and actions.  Giving the fumble back to Warren 2 plays earlier , game over, or, penalizing Warren for the intruder.  Both were bad, who knows if the outcome would be different?

I was surprised a ref had the fortitude to throw not only 1 but 2 flags on Bo. Kudos to them for making him follow the rules that all other coaches in this state are subject to.

Thought that was pretty bad that he just snubbed Eldridge after the game. Some of you claim other fans may be classless, but your coach was yesterday.

If Bo didn't shake Eldridge's hand after the game, that does make us look bad. Hope it's because he was chasing down the refs and not meant as as snub to the coaching staff.  Those sideline warnings have bit him twice in the rear. This game and '14. He is the only one that can change that habit.

I agree with the bolded statements. I would like to add a couple notes of my own though.

1. Officials were put in a situation that was impossible to come out "satisfying" to all parties.

2. I read where AirWarren said he saw the student in the stands, so I assume that is where he came from prior to being on the field? Not sure though.

3. Burks was incredible to watch.

4. #25 for Arkadelphia gets my play of the day sticker. I didn't believe for a second when Burks scrambled right that the kid was going to tackle him one on one.

5. I am not privy to the rule regarding such a unique situation, but Warren would have came out of the situation very well had they been allowed to try the field goal from the 9 yard line. They were clearly not going to have time to rush the field goal unit out originally, and appeared to be trying to run a play.

6. Very entertaining game for a football fan and a story to be told for many years on the wild events in the final 4 minutes.
